Yes, I thought that maybe things could be different in other countries but it seems it usually is like that: your family has to pay somehow.
That's why I'm planning not to leave any debts behind.
If none of your loan/credit card is co-signed with anyone, they will take whatever assets you have such as real estate, car, cash/bank and if there isn't any, it'll be dissolved. Family's aren't required to pay for other relatives debt.
