I am wondering what your thoughts are about ads? Or if you have anything else to add about them?

Definitely if you looking up something online and then you end up going to a youtube video and then you get those same ads pop up that you where looking at.

I find it extremely annoying and definitely if you're on a channel that has nothing to do with what you are looking up.

I think it's awful, and in general it irritates people who may then avoid the advertised brands, except in cases where the advertising is discreet, such as being part of a scene for example.

Idk I got an ad blocker barely see any ads
Don't you need to pay for it? And I have been finding out some sites you can't access the info without turning off the ad blocker.

This. Some or many ads are scams or exploits or other harmful contents. I want especially those who aren't familiar with technology to install an ad blocker to protect themselves. It sucks that Google banned uBlock Origin then chrome users have been in great danger.

Firefox

Edge

Chrome

Warning: This workaround can stop working someday. I'd recommend switching to Firefox
  1. open uBlock Origin releases page
  2. find the label "Latest" and download xxx.chromium.zip from the Assets section
  3. unpack the zip file
  4. open chrome://extensions
  5. toggle on "Developer mode"
  6. click the button "Load unpacked"
  7. select the unpacked folder
  8. there should be uBlock Origin in My extensions

Nope it's free. I use brave it got a decent built in ad blocker. Theres a method they use to hide the fact that it's an ad blocker idk if it is currently working tho.

Use brave browser and built-in AdBlock works fine. I don't ever watch adds and if they show up somehow it makes my blood boil. I absolutely despise them and I actively avoid buying anything associated to aggressive ad campaigns.
