Hi all. I'm in AU and planning to CTB soon. I have been compiling a bunch of messages I will send people via scheduled SMS for closure. However, I'm having difficulty finding a way to notify emergency services via a scheduled text.

I would like to do this so they are notified before anyone else is able to find me, including either friends, hotel staff, or otherwise.

The closest thing I've found is the National Relay Service SMS feature - which does say you can use the emergency services feature without registration. However I'm not sure if this would be the best way.

Can anyone offer any other suggestions?

It would probably be best to just let the hotel staff find you. They would have to open the door for emergency services anyway. I'm sure most hotels have dealt with this kind of thing before and have protocols not to enter the room and to call ambulance/police for someone who hasn't vacated their room.

That's fair. I'm still deciding if I want to go through a hotel - the logistics of that make it a little more difficult than just being at home.
