Autophagic Loneliness
Feb 12, 2025
300
Accustomed to daydreaming about characters and people who don't exist, miserably trying to feel close and loved. That was most of my life. Happiness for animals boils down to meeting physiological needs: shelter, food, and sleep. But human beings have inherent psychological needs, such as the need to connect; to feel physical touch permeating their skin to regulate their emotions. The need to receive unexpected and recurring hugs, so that neurosensory stimulation brings a sense of security. I am not happy, and I believe that my primitive ancestors lived better around the campfire alongside those they wanted to be with, with a sense of tribal belonging.

I am a reproductive being born from a meaningless copulation, but who does not exercise my biological sexual nature. Condemned to bear immense loneliness. For there is nothing for me in this place, and there is no one to await me in the future. How many times will I have to multiply myself, becoming more than I already am, just to find someone who wants me? Do people make the same sacrifices as I do, or are they born already accepted enough? The worst truth is that love is not a right for everyone, only a gift for those who have always had favorable conditions. Loneliness was never even a complaint in the lives of these people.

I'm sorry, I unfortunately understand. The loneliness and isolation are really what's doing me in these days as well; it was torture long ago. I'm just ready to stop feeling the intense pain of the hole where meaning should have been.

Yeah, I just bought reusable hand warmers because I like pretending to hold someone's hand. Some nights, I heat up a microwaveable stuffed animal to cuddle as I go to sleep.

Yes me too. I am virgin but I don't care about it as it's the least of any problems the struggles I go through everyday is just terrifying. Yes I wished I had someone I could share stuff with but I have trauma from neglect and that's why I keep distance and loathe my suffering...

I spent the last 14 years doing every single stupid ''self improvement'' shit and constantly torturing myself with things that make my OCD, social phobia, etc go absolutly insane for nothing, i'm just going to die alone, no one cares, no one does anything, im just going to randomly die of whatever stupid bullshit heart condition i have and there's nothing i can do, no one will do anything, and in my current state, i literally cant do anything. You could try and make a hell bespoke for me and fail to make it worse than this.

To quote AM; I am in hell looking up at heaven, i am machine, they are flesh.

I feel you, I kind of am the same I guess. I mean yeah, there are plenty of people, who never really had to feel lonely, well at least not for prolonged periods of time, which is kinda insane to me. Loneliness has become a part of my life at this point, even though I never thought that such a thing would ever affect me, well I was wrong. There's no real way to supplement the need of connection and affection with sth else, there just isn't anything else that comes close to it. So I also daydream a lot. I really want to cuddle with someone whom I love and who loves me back, but this in some way is like a fairytale to me, because it seems so far away, so unattainable and I know that desperation isn't going to help either. All these things are normal all-day occurrences for others, but not for me. Idk, for now I can only wish I guess.
I hope you get to experience all these things someday, life without connection is harder than it should be

Yeah LOL I honestly am giving up on thinking these people are the same species as I or others in similair situations.

Truth of the matter is Natural Selection will never cease, and Nature is one mean fucking teacher. Wrong place wrong time? Wrong structure? Wrong childhood? Wrong choice? It's over.

The "normal" people never consider any of it, they do not ponder it for it doesnt even cross their mind.
Why would anyone be lonely? I have so many friends!
Why would anyone want to end their life? I am so happy!
Why would anyone hate themselves? We are all beautiful! (Except for those ugly people but I dont look at them and remove any memory of their existence, subhumans.)

To them its granted, much in the manner of a spoiled child. Actual sub 60 IQ

Have you thought about prostitutes? Although I can tell it is less so the actual physical act and more so the connection from it you want, but you could try to find some GFE-esque hooker that you can use to cope- only really viable if you're a wagie who can afford that shit though. And even then, it'd only be an inferior imitation of the real thing. A cope is a cope though. All this is off the table if you're a hardcore romantic however, so yeah.

So true. I crave this as well and I even fantasised of being born in such a time...

No the world sadly is terribly unfair in this regard. Natural selection is brutal in its mysterious ways... it sucks for those who aren't blessed to fit the standard that makes one naturally attractive to others. This is not even limited to appearance but largely to subtile behavioural aspects as attachment psychology is such a complex construct.

While I thankfully have felt a women's touch many years ago, even multiple over the years, it's not something that helps me feel better in the here and now as it's just a distant memory.

Be careful sharing something like this. This species will laugh and trivialise this issue you got. Just a warning.
thankfully the usual toxicity one experiences pretty much everywhere else about this, especially online, is far less prevalent here...

actually thats quite ingenious, I might do that too to fool myself.

tbh, thats the window to make a move and get a date. the average woman (especially in the internet) gets attention from far more guys at any given time, they won't wait around for you and they won't make the first step, because they don't have to.

Thought about it and never done it due to the exact reason you already mentioned. It's not worth much when I know it's just a performance I paid for and nothing real about it. Everyone keeps saying men are only about sex (and for those few with endless options that is probably true, because they can) but in the end it's just the vessel for other equally primal but less hedonistic desires.

While the grass is always greener, I'd have much rather stayed a kissless virgin, than go through the mental damage from being repeatedly betrayed over the past 2 years by a woman I thought loved me. I wanted to give living for someone else a shot and it ended up backfiring massively. For some stupid reason I thought she was changing, only to find out yesterday that she had a second account where she was betraying my trust.

I'd also recommend escorts/prostitutes if it's legal in your country. It will make you more comfortable with intimacy and then dating becomes easier, because the pressure of having your first time is gone.
