I'm unable to get the right anti-nausea meds so I purchased a bunch of empty gel caps that break down in the small intestine instead of the stomach, hopefully allowing me to bypass the nausea and throwing up part. I'm hoping to get some feedback from folks about this idea. Will it work? Do I need to take more than usually recommended? My understanding is that the small intestine has much better absorption, but I just want to make sure it will work. I'm less concerned about it taking longer to kick in.

There are concerns about the timings I think- how long they will take to dissolve. I considered doing both- swallowing the capsules ahead of SN in water- to try to ensure at least some reaches the intestine. Although again- the timing is tricky.

Thanks for this. I actually searched the forums but for whatever reason the results I got didn't include most of these.

It seems like taking the capsules, waiting however long it takes until you first start feeling effects, and then taking the water + sn solution at that point, well, that could surely work it seems like? Concerning the timing, I mean. No other way I can think of to get the timing down when it's going to be such an individual thing.

Edit: might have found a flaw in this ... Severe pain in the intestines from very high concentration of salt in one area.

The issue- as I see it- is- how could a person be sure all the capsules have moved into the intestine- when they take the SN plus water? That is well known to make people vomit- even with antiemetics. So then- there's the issue of possibly also vomiting up the capsules. Maybe them getting trapped in the wind pipe.

It's also the not knowing how bad it will feel when the SN in the capsules start to take effect. I think it would possibly extend the time before the person passes out too. As I understand it- people drop into unconsciousness because of the digestion of sodium nitrite into nitrate, plus nitric oxide in the stomach. That causes blood vessels to relax and blood pressure to drop- causing fainting. By by passing the stomach with the capsules- I wonder if that stage is skipped.

I suppose it's the not knowing really.

The key word would be waiting until you begin feeling the effects from the capsules, before taking the drink. That's the best that can be done, as far as I can tell
