Update on Rational Man.

Just to let you know im still breathing. At home with my carer and cat. I can still walk though im gaunt like due to muscle wasting. I can have fluids but very little food. The pain is often overwhelming. .

i never made it to Switzerland and assisted dying is illegal in UK.

So unless i ctb, im at the mercy of my disease or hopefully a kind doctor.

I don't have much time now.

Difficult to predict from day to day. Though unlike some people here, my life is being ended no matter what i do. Theres always a plan B exit which means i control the final chapter. Pain is difficult. I get anxious when there is pain or vomit.

As time and disease progress, theres more of a sense of acceptance which brings some peace. I began to realise this during my daily walks in the forests when i was able to. I found impermanence in life, recycling of nature and eventually the connection of all things with the cosmos. We are made of the same elements and we will all return one day. We leave everyone and everything behind. I think humans can fear death because we cling to power, life, materialism and relationships. We eventually become free of all things.❤
