Hi,

I'm just trying out Meto (10 mg) and am having really enormous panics from it. I am on an SSRI too.

I keep reading about EPS and other things. I even found an article that says someone got permanent panic attacks from taking it once (or something).

I wondered if this means I shouldn't do 48 hrs and just do stat dose.

I'll keep updating here. Thank you.

There are other bad side effects of meto, which is also the antiemitic I have- it has a black box warning- the most serious type of warning for pharmaceuticals- for causing tarduve dyskinesia, which can cause your facial muscles to twitch uncontrollably- some people get lucky and it eventually stops, and some peopel don't. I am wondering if I should swicth to a different antiemitic, since you always want to plan for- what if this attempt doesn't work? I do think I may just end up using the state dose though.

Meto sounds terrifying from what I've read. Considering another anti emetic although it might be less effective

I've been thinking of trying it too to prepare myself but haven't got round to it yet. You have taken 10mg today?

Yes 10 mg.

It's really scary. Currently I feel like taking 30 mg would be worse than SN
Are there alternatives?
I want to CTB asap though so i don't know if have time to get them

May I ask how long before the symptoms kicked in. Sorry you are going through this.

Yes anxiety, panic.
I'm really scared because I think it also shows how badly other meds messed with my health. I need to CTB ASAP, I'm terrified otherwise. I have to do it to save my life, as I have no family or anyone to help who understands. I'm completely an invalid
I'm really thinking of getting even an extra dose of SN now in case the next attempt fails. I'm not sure.
Have ordered Domperidone.
I don't know how people take Meto.
I just really hope I am successful with CTB as soon as possible. I'm so jealous of everyone that has had success.
Also, do we think that 50 mg is enough of the SN?
That's two glasses

The recommended dose of Sn is 20 - 25 grams for most people. If higher doses are used than needed there is more chance of vomiting and having a failed attempt.

I'm sorry to hear it affected you so badly. I can't really offer any advice as I've never tried it or SN. Hope you find some peace soon x

Thanks. I managed to reach out to some family. We are going to try and see if anything can be done to help me.

I do feel better from the meto as well.
What I would say is to anyone who is prone to panic or anxiety, meto definitely brought that on with me. It's really panic inducing. I can't imagine trying to CTB with that. And it was only 10 mg so please make sure you test your anti emetics first in case it's like this.
Oh it's worth saying I'm also on 2 other meds that affect serotonin levels.
So it could be that the meto was influenced by them as well.
