do you think guys those who succeeded were just more determined to ctb when compared to regular people who want to ctb ?
Indeed. I know a guy who survived a jump from the 9th floor, and one who succeeed from the 8th. So it all really depends on your "luck".Hard to answer as we cant communicate with those lucky ones who managed it and im guessing some wernt pain free.
If it was that simple more ppl would jump off buidings, in front of trains etc so I think as ive said to my 'normal' friends suicide isnt easy ?
Maybe determination plays a role in it a little bit but also making a fool proof plan also I would think is helpful. If you truly want to CTB you have got to do your research and find a plan with a high probability of success. It's not easy to CTB as the body is a great survivor…. and unfortunately there are a lot of "heros" out there that could foil even the best of plans.do you think guys those who succeeded were just more determined to ctb when compared to regular people who want to ctb ?
i was about to say the something similar as you, totally agree. No, sometimes it's just dumb luck. Some people who succeed probably didn't even really want to die. It's also about availability and accessibility to methods.
Yes, I agree although I suffer a lot cause I have low intelligence. But I agree being highly intelligent would make it easier to ctb as they understand the science on how to succesfully ctbI think intelligence and awareness play a big part. I have low intelligence and self awareness, and I keep avoiding ctb despite hating existing, and knowing my future is doomed. I put my head in the sand and procrastinate. More intelligent and self aware people suffer more, and see the futility more clearly, and therefore take the logical/necessary action to end their suffering.
Alternatively, there are highly impulsive people, who are able to succeed in a moment of impulsivity. I'm not intelligent, impulsive, or very self aware. The walls will have to keep closing in on me, and the suffering increase so that ctb becomes the easy and logical choice.
You beat me to it, but I agree with everything you have said here.@Groundhog_Day and @divinemistress36 How are you low intelligence!? Reading your posts shows that you understand more then most people I know.
@Groundhog_Day just because you avoid CTB doesn't mean that you're not intelligent, it only shows that you're afraid, which is a pretty normal reaction. We all experience different kinds of fear depending on the chosen method and other various factors otherwise these forums would empty pretty fast.
@divinemistress36 You suffer because of the fucked up stuff that's been done to you, not because you're not intelligent. If anything the suffering shows that you understand what happened and the fact that you don't repress it shows courage, courage to face the truth.
