I just watched this amazing 13 min short animated movie on YouTube called IN SHADOW. It unearths everything that is wrong about our culture and why people act the way they do out of a false obligation to fit the mainstream narrative. Please watch it when you can:

I think the video does a great job at showing how and in what way humans have created an extra layer of misery for themselves. Life can never be not awful. But we humans, as a species, certainly have found ways to make it even worse than what the insidious Nature prescribes.
On a personal note, the part with the psychopharmacological drugs was of particular interest (around 5:40 in the video). As soon as you start to realize the hell that we are in, it seems everyone wants to drag you back to the pit of lies and trickery with their shrinks and their drugs.
