I've been a bit slow. Anyway. Is it right that what I need to do to obtain N is find D's email in the PPeH and email him? I understand there are spam email addresses.

Yes, you need his email from the PPeH. The August one is in the resources section of the wiki. There's also an updated November one(not sure if available here), where D is listed as the only source
