Discussion There's so many Autistic people here.

So this is circumstantial and with observations of a poll from a while ago. Specifically autism, but also just general Neurodivergence, seems to be over represented here. I get that neurodivergant people also have higher rates of suicide in general, but also I've thought that maybe there's another reason for that.

I thing the main thing is that accepting Sanctioned Suicide as an ideology, either requires excessive suffering or an abnormal way of thinking. Because, well ofc Death = Bad , Suicide = Bad , as simple as that in most people's mind, because it's natural, fearing death is how you survive and reproduce, thus it's how human (and probable most other intelligent life) psychology evolved. The people who stay here, especially longer then just to get the knowledge and some supplies they need to CTB, would either be suffering so much death is preferable, or who think completely outside what normies can even consider, for better or for worse. That's also not to mention many are outright disabled or treated worse by society.

What are people's thoughts on this?

I mean, SaSu is less an ideology and more so a forum were people can talk freely about wanting to die.

But I agree that's probably a fair assessment otherwise. Neurodivergence can be a very easy way to suffer to the point of wanting to die and thinking outside the box or in ways less restrained by "polite society" is pretty common in neurodivergent people

I guess it was my poll. I was really surprised by the high rate of autisctic people here (and it makes me sad). I wasn't diagnosed as well, but I think the tests I've done were not good enough because I have 90% autistic traits. Even my psychiatrist said I can consider myself as an autistic. I don't fit in this world since I was born. Like an alien. I'm so tired now (I'm 43 male). I think this society doesn't give a shit for neurodivergent people. I'm maybe wrong but I feel abandoned.

I see SaSu not as an ideology but more as a forum or platform for people who can have candid, uncensored discussions about CTB that otherwise isn't probable on other platforms. Furthermore, I see SaSu as a safe place for discussion of the topics and in addition to this, to explore methods of CTB (I don't know any other platform that allows method discussion in depth though) and without SaSu, I'd would definitely be worse off. Also, since SaSu has an off topic area where people also discuss non-CTB related topics too.

agreed! ^_^ plus, while most people on SaSu do share opinions on many things, not all do! I like how this place allows one to speak their mind about horrible things in this world and their life that make them want to sewer slide without being censored~ :) and well, meeting friends who you can empathize with is really neat too! ^_^

In regards to the thread topic, wow, that's sad~ :( The world truly does mistreat and lacks support for autistic people~ :( and those who are higher functioning know that they can't fit in [many who are lower functioning are thankfully spared that and get more blissful lives from what I've seen~ :)] but aren't able to somehow make it so that they can, so they just end up wanting to commit sewer slide due to a world whose expectations they could never possibly fill~ :( I've been accused of having it by my parents before, and I really hope I don't~ >_<
I think if the question was about neurodivergence instead, it'd be near 100% of SS are neurodiverse (mainly due to depression, autism, and dysphoria probably~)~ I wish the world could be better suited for us~ :(

Humans dislike neurodivergent people, so they do have an increased suicide rate. Just like how there's also an unfortunate amount of trans people.

There is also the factor nobody gives a shit about social norms on this site so we can say whatever and act however as long as we're not being an asshole.

well when you get repeatedly and repeatedly treated like shit from a society that demands as much conformity as possible while not being given any good tools to force yourself to conform? Surprise Surprise! You probably end up suicidal too! Its just a normal human reatoon to be treated like shit day in day out.

The best part is that most disabled /neurodivergent people didnt choose to be that way. Some of them were just borm that way. Or some of tbem were involved in serious accidents thst changed their body and/or brains. So normies are REALLY out here bludgeoning others simply cause of something those oppressed people didnt choose to happen to them?... Wow! *I luuuv this species!*

Well in my case, autism means no sex, and no sex means I can't get the chemicals that would make life happy. It's all just chemicals. If I had illegal drugs, I would probably be happy, too. I'm like that depressed person in a 1990s American comedy who needs a girl to stop being depressed? Is my whole life a trope?

I'm not denying that others may have it differently. But "uncommon thinking" would be more difficult with [censored] on your [censored]. Obviously, sex isn't the be all end all, and I know a chad who literally doesn't value sex at all (too much of a good thing? he's depressed because of the political situation though), but specifically autistic people will likely be depressed because of no sex. Unless you're female, I cannot talk about females.
