Anyone else perpetually tired? No matter when you go to bed at or when you wake up, you just end up feeling tired? And it persists throughout the day, even with caffeine and other stimulants? I don't even think the meds which are supposed to help with it are helping anymore, and I don't feel prepared to try another one that has a 50/50 shot of working or only working for a few days and then causing me to remain perpetually tired or make it so I can't go without the pills or I can't get to sleep at all. It feels like a curse, and I honestly think it might be contributing to my depressive thoughts (beyond just the existing, recurrent ideation I have) when I think about having to endure another 50-80 years of this without ever being able to feel rested.

I think I've had similar experiences over the years of during my life, especially early 30's. I don't think I have many days of adequate rest, sometimes I wake up tired, less tired at various hours, but briefly, and then later feeling tired or sleepy, then at night when people are sleeping, I don't feel as tired. Sometimes I think it may have been my circadian rhythm being messed up during times where I stayed up late or during a period of time in my life when I had to work night shifts for about a year.

Yes, there are a lot of days where I feel extremely tired no matter what I do. I will still feel tired even if I sleep for 10+ hours. It definitely feels like a never ending curse.

Yeah. I keep thinking "it might be better if I just slept during the day" but I'm not even sure if that'd help. Feels like short of a constant drip of adrenaline I wouldn't ever be able to feel rested.

Apparently sleeping for too long can also lead to tiredness, which is rather ironic but nevertheless a thing that happens. It definitely is a curse, never quite being able to be "awake" beyond a lingering sensation of consciousness, always feeling like you didn't get enough sleep and if you just "took a nap" or "slept a bit longer" it'd all be better, but that never seeming to be the case.

I have heard about that. It is rather ironic. Sleeping the recommended amount of time also doesn't work for me either, unfortunately.
To be fair, I do have 2 syndromes working against me, so that is most likely why I feel the way I do with tiredness.

I have the same problem unfortunately đź«‚ It's so frustrating because no matter how much I manage to fix my schedule, it doesn't totally fix the tiredness (although it does make it slightly better).

Do you think you could have sleep apnea or something? Doctors don't always think about it but it's a cause of lasting tiredness and it can also worsen depression.

For better or worse, I know it isn't sleep apnea, it's just a perpetual tiredness. Even if I "fix my schedule" so to speak, it doesn't really help.

Long sought rest

I'm almost always tired nowadays. Thankfully, my baseline isn't being so tired I can't do anything. I can still go out and do things most days if I put my mind to it, but afterwards, once I get time to relax, I'll always be wiped out the rest of that day and the next day (possibly weeks if I've had a long period of being active-ish).

Don't know what it is considering I've had my bloods tested and it all came back normal. Sometimes it'll go away for a period of time (like 1 to 3 weeks), but then it always comes back more debilitating. Kinda like a virus evolving. Makes me not want to do anything because I know everytime I'll end up worse then I was.

I hope someday you become less chronically tired. I would send good luck your way if I could đź«‚

Yes. I've had sleep issues my entire life.

I remember one time when I was traveling for work, waking up and feeling really good. When I went into the office the first person I saw said
, you look bright eyed and bushy tailed today.

It's the only time that's ever been said to me. Many times I've heard, you look tired.

So yeah, one good night of sleep I can ever remember. Usually I'm fine after I've been up a little bit it sucks. Many bouts with insomnia too. Just sick of it
