I literally have no access to any of the other methods out there. I figured it could work, since I had both put my fingers around my neck and wrapped a headphone wire around my neck before, and I felt good both times (there wasn't any pain involved and my head didn't feel like it was going to explode). However, I've heard that it's an unreliable method and should probably avoid it. I don't know, man. I just want out already.
