I fucking hate to see that truth I've seen after I became a grown old man. Nobody wants to see you happy, making money and getting women. They wanna see you screwed in every single area of your life.

I think there's a frightening amount of truth to that idea, which many are scared to confront. Many people want you to do well, but not better than them. It's pretty depressing.

I understand people who are in pain and living their life without the privileges they are forced to view in others, it's only natural to be bitter and jealous, I don't use jealousy as an insult unless the person acting jealous has no reason to be.
It is not as if those less fortunate do not deserve the same things that others have, often unearned, so to demonize them for simply wanting fair and equal opportunities and treatment would be rather atrocious and hypocritical.

It is when those who are better off revel in the pits of despair that the rest of us find ourselves in, that I really become pissed off.
You know, the ones who will do anything to remain on top, including keeping you at the bottom, they don't want to share and they love it when you are tortured by their spoils and happiness, it makes them even happier!
It's entertainment to them, drama!
Then they will whine and complain about how envious you are, boo hoo, "woe is me" ..all the while enjoying every minute of it, flattered.

It's less depressing if you think of it in terms of wanting all things to be equal.
But more depressing if you think of it in terms of wanting to be on the preferential side of the current state of inequality, while enjoying the fact that others are not and can never be.
