...if anyone reads this title and believes it you ain't following my threads...
I wasn't even sure whether this was a topic across Europe. It was.
So...I try to be less autistic and adapt more to societal standards but I absolutely didn't give a single shit about this event. I absolutely don't see any value in it. I don't like mother nature. Mother nature has put me in a prison that is torturing me. If we talked about a meteor that had a chance to hit my apartment/country with a chance of 1/3 or whatever sign me up I will buy a lot of merch around this event. Will follow livestreams and pretend this was the most amazing thing that ever happened. I know I am a little bit cynical. And maybe my rationality is more irrational. I don't see much beauty in nature to be honest. And maybe life was a little bit easier if I could enjoy the small things.
So I didn't see it. I think I saw videos in news shows of this event. I know there was a hype around these glasses. At the morning I read an article how dangerous it was to look at the sun without the glasses. And I thought there will probably not a few who don't follow this rule like Trump in 2017. So the only emotion had a was anxiety going to my balcony and accidentally be overwhelmed by mother nature how it has shaped us all and when letting myself go I lose control over myself and cannot resist looking at the sun. I read not a few people had to go to hospital todays after looking into the sun without glasses. The weird thing is prior to the event they said this was the most dangerous action ever and after the event I barely anyone was permanetly injured. I have to admit I didn't read it closely. But my friends became pretty health paranoia/hypochondriac when reading how dangerous it was. One of them buit a glass himself or borrowed a glass without checking the quality.
I think this would be a topic where I would be masking if I was working and pretend how great it was. Honestly, a part of me doesn't understand the allure at all. But I think preferences are subjective. And most people would call what I do a fucking waste of time.
There was one moment where I actually became emotional. My mom didn't have glasses but she walked on my balcony to take pictures. And I emphasized frequently not to stare into the sun when taking pictures. I know my mom she would be tempted to do something like that.
