...if anyone reads this title and believes it you ain't following my threads...

I wasn't even sure whether this was a topic across Europe. It was.

So...I try to be less autistic and adapt more to societal standards but I absolutely didn't give a single shit about this event. I absolutely don't see any value in it. I don't like mother nature. Mother nature has put me in a prison that is torturing me. If we talked about a meteor that had a chance to hit my apartment/country with a chance of 1/3 or whatever sign me up I will buy a lot of merch around this event. Will follow livestreams and pretend this was the most amazing thing that ever happened. I know I am a little bit cynical. And maybe my rationality is more irrational. I don't see much beauty in nature to be honest. And maybe life was a little bit easier if I could enjoy the small things.

So I didn't see it. I think I saw videos in news shows of this event. I know there was a hype around these glasses. At the morning I read an article how dangerous it was to look at the sun without the glasses. And I thought there will probably not a few who don't follow this rule like Trump in 2017. So the only emotion had a was anxiety going to my balcony and accidentally be overwhelmed by mother nature how it has shaped us all and when letting myself go I lose control over myself and cannot resist looking at the sun. I read not a few people had to go to hospital todays after looking into the sun without glasses. The weird thing is prior to the event they said this was the most dangerous action ever and after the event I barely anyone was permanetly injured. I have to admit I didn't read it closely. But my friends became pretty health paranoia/hypochondriac when reading how dangerous it was. One of them buit a glass himself or borrowed a glass without checking the quality.

I think this would be a topic where I would be masking if I was working and pretend how great it was. Honestly, a part of me doesn't understand the allure at all. But I think preferences are subjective. And most people would call what I do a fucking waste of time.

There was one moment where I actually became emotional. My mom didn't have glasses but she walked on my balcony to take pictures. And I emphasized frequently not to stare into the sun when taking pictures. I know my mom she would be tempted to do something like that.

I do love Nature, I only hate humanity.
I've always been very much interested in science too, and in all kinds of natural phenomena. Years ago before I got this traumatized and broken by the loss of my loved ones I'd have considered traveling to see the actual total eclipse. But as it is, I know I'd have very much regretted it too, because it was bad enough here - crowded!!!

I rode my bike up into the hills yesterday, bringing my welding goggles that I've kept for a long time for similar events. There's mainly only woods and farmland in those hills, and a few roads and outskirts of villages. But because of the elevation and the open view over the fields - EVERYONE went there! Clusters of parked cars on the roadsides, people sitting around every corner, some had brought picnic tables and what-not.
There's a little wooden lookout tower, I had already expected it would be too crowded there but it was a million times worse - crowded means about two or three people by my standards, not a hundred times that! They were crammed all the way up the stairs of the tower, it was astonishing to see how the tower wasn't collapsing under the burden!

I rode much further, trying to find myself a halfway peaceful place in the middle of some fields. The eclipse was interesting to watch, especially how the landscape around was still illuminated by sunlight but which was a lot dimmer than normally, like on some alien planet orbiting a much fainter star that ours.

Yes, I too feel imprisoned in this life and in this human body. But it's mainly humanity that makes everything so unbearable, not only by their excessive overbreeding, invading and infesting the whole planet, but by their hubris assuming the right to control everyone and everything on it - everything except their own excessive breeding.
I hate borders, bureaucracy, all their stupid rules and regulations. Yes I know, some laws are needed because humans are a$$h0les. But the laws protect only humans and not others - when all others were here first, including not only other animals but plants too, forests... and humans cut them all down.
Nature gives me comfort, but it's humans that destroy everything. And ultimately it's also humans that imprison us here, being unwilling to allow those of us to leave who wish to leave this life behind.

Of all pain and suffering I've had in my entire life, 99.99% has been caused by humans.

solar eclipse is boring.. it's a dot in the sky being covered, and some times the glasses you get are cheap scams that don't protect you properly.. but also i think the effect of it making the lighting weird is a better effect to be paying attention to than a dot in the sky being covered.. but even the weird lighting isn't that cool usually and usually just looks similar to clouds covering the sun..

the lunar eclipses are a lot cooler in my opinion..
