So I'm testing it using a decoration rope i found in my house, so the question is: The sensation i feel is basically being able to breathe but not feeling the oxygen in your body, like just feeling the air but not actually benefiting from it beyond the air itself

It's hard to describe, also after I finished testing it I feel out of breath As if I would've done physical activity or as if I was drowning, even though I was breathing just fine.

Is this the right sensation ?

I don't think so. From what I can remember from being choked out is that I could not breathe and that I had a feeling of slowly slipping away. I definitely could not breathe though.

Ohh this is interesting 🤔

I tested it too before and basically I just felt really sleepy and my vision started to fade out quickly. It was pretty scary. When I stopped I just felt...weird and sorta...wrung out.

How did you test it? I am struggling to get to the sleepy and vision fading I'm only getting the blood filled head feeling

I used a handle bar in my shower and a rope. The trick is you have to find your carotid artery. It took some time to find it but once I did it, I put the rope over my neck and made sure that when I tightened the noose, it pushed down on the carotid artery. Then I knelt down and leant forward. And as soon I leant forward I started passing out.

Here's everything about partial hanging. I used this guide to help me.

>>> How to hang yourself <<<

And this is the rope I used. I got it from a hardware store.

When I found my carotid artery and put the rope there it put a lot of pressure on my trachea and only caused pain but no passing out, I read that thread, and the thread's by Evelyn and I'm still so lost on how everyone seems to pass out easy

I think our main issue is the cartoid arthery, once we can sort that out we're good

Yeah I read several threads and they all said fsh is better than partial to ensure a quick pass out due to more pressure on the cartoid but honestly I struggle with it and am thinking of downgrading to partial, unsure how to stop the si if I pass out to not just stand up from my knees and how to put enough pressure downwards to pass out but that's my next attempt

Its also the angle of the rope that matters. You gotta angle it upwards(?). IIRC I had the rope sitting something like this, just under my chin

If the rope is lower...yeah you'll just be pressing on your windpipe

I hope this makes sense, sorry for the shitty diagram and explanation.

No you're good, that's pretty much what I think the rope did when I attempted full a few times but I just got a head rush of blood not passing out. When I sit down and test the noose before and pull hard my ears were ringing so I'm thinking maybe partial will fix the issue I'm having. Even with the rope that high my trachea hurts in the front of my neck from the rope, above the Adam's apple, I tried even higher like under the jaw and also just got neck pain, I honestly can't figure out what's wrong and why others are getting the passing out feeling while I'm not but hoping if I lower my rope to be a partial and try again it might work?

Yeah I think if you try partial and make sure your are pressing the carotid artery it should eliminate some of the problems you're having.

I wish I could find the picture but I swear I've also seen people put some sort of padding under the rope to help with the pain. Maybe you can try that as well. I also found that getting drunk helps a lot too - moreso with courage and fighting the survival instinct.

I hope everything works out for you <3

I'm trying to find a guide but I don't think there are any for partial are there? I looked at Evelyn's guides and I only saw one with videos, assuming the same knots and rope placement as full. I don't drink but when I did try it just gave me a headache so I don't think that would work for me. I thought of taking NyQuil to help me but I think I saw someone post that it made them throw up when they tried hanging

Weird it says the put the noose halfway down the Adam's apple and the base of your neck, I thought everyone said put it high up the neck?
I don't think I've ever heard of that way before. But I'll have to try it myself. I feel like with partial hanging its kinda trial and error. I found this way too and it looks simpler to accomplish.

Yeah I was surprised to see that in the wiki thread since I always heard put the rope high. That seems interesting either way the socks, might have to try that, wonder how it works with a thin sheet to stop rope burn. Also kind of weird that they say in the forum with the socks that it's normal to feel the blood rush, I thought we were avoiding that because it means we got the jugular and not the carotid?

Yeah thats the only problem.... but the set up looks sound overall.... Hm, I wonder if there's a way to tweak that method in order to avoid the blood rush feeling because it's not enjoyable at all.

But if it's truly lethal like the post says then maybe it can be overlooked... Jeez its so hard to kill yourself wtf. So much planning and testing. It's frustrating

I believe the people who say the blood rushing feeling is bad are correct, I think we need to find a way to get the tingling to pass out without the blood rushing. I'm reading through every page of the hanging thread and there's an interesting idea of laying down with the noose on neck because the head weighs 11 lbs and you only need 3 kg of pressure so laying down your head can cause enough pressure to get the tingling? Idk, so many pages left hopefully I'll find something I want to be gone yesterday.
Yeah why is it so hard, there was two teenagers recently who died via hanging, one TikTok famous and one who's mom is getting dragged on TikTok for showing up to her funeral dressed up and posting it. They were young with probably less access to information than we have and they did it so why is it harder for us 😭

I tried this method and it didn't work for me, no tingling just pain, I tried it high and low with the padding

I have tested and have gone unconscious. Since it was a test I only held the end of the rope over a hook.

The whole idea is not to choke but to cut blood to your brain - that is why hanging will push you to unconsciousness very quickly if done right.

And it works best if it is fast - slowly tightening the rope will only mean SI will take over

You did the rope high on the neck? Did you pull very fast to go unconscious? Or drop fast if you're saying slow will cause si to take over? I tried to cut blood flow and am really struggling to figure it out. I always have the rope pre tightened, knot on the back and tried both fast which made me choke and slower tightening and can't seem to get the passing out point, I just get the blood head rush or coughing/gagging/choking :/

I hyperventilated first and then put the rope around my neck high and dropped my body by letting my knees bend quickly. I then held my breathe and blew hard against hand to increase pressure and just pass out naturally

Have you thought about trying different methods other than hanging or are you deadset on it?

Idk what other method I could do, idk how to find sn, I tried using raw aconite tea from before I found this thread and it didn't work, charcoal seems complicated same with nitrogen to get my hands on but I'd love to do nitrogen as it seems pain free as well. With what I can get my hands on I still have some raw aconite but last time I tried I threw up and felt like shit for hours and nothing happened and it seems like I can't get anything else besides the rope I already got from the list of methods. There's always jumping but idk where to jump from, my balcony is too close to the ground, a freeway doesn't seem like a good idea. A lot of people die in cities near me using the train but I'd be scared of failing and would rather die alone than in public

Yeah that's pretty much why I chose hanging too. I considered suicide by cop but thats too traumatic and gruesome.

Its kinda funny bc its like people who have a lot to live for die so easily and the people who want to die the most have the most trouble.

I might test some stuff today or during this week. So if I am successful I'll let you know 👍 for research purposes lol

I also thought of suicide by cop, a man with autism had that happen recently by accident when he called for his own mental health (unless that was his plan though he seemed to actually get help) but if it goes wrong for any reason, getting shot and taken to hospital, not shot just tasered and having a record, too many things can go wrong there.
That would be amazing, I appreciate you wanting to share!
Yeah, some people who want to die seem to have an easy death, actors, idols, famous people or some teenagers (one just used a gun at their school) but for a lot of us who want to die it is so hard. It's so weird how I knew a few people who were happy and full of life yet they died young from like drunk drivers and other things out of their control while we want to be gone and instead of tragedies happening to us which would kill two birds with one stone, they die and everyone is sad and we live and are sad
