Why does ctb coincide with the most beautiful time of the year,more so than the dark days of winter?

Maybe the nice weather makes us nostalgic for the happiness we once had,or never had.
I think if I go,it will be in summer. The gloomy months make me want to shut myself up somewhere warm.

I think summer is the most depressing time of year. I do not like the warmer weather. Maybe more people ctb in summer as the bad weather in winter prevents them from travelling to ctb locations.

How I feel as well.. I feel lighter in the spring.. and now I just want to disappear.

I have read that suicides peak in the spring. One theory is that some people see things growing and blooming out all around them while they are still in their dark mental hole, and this nudges them to ctb.

Yeah, I wanted to go this March but because I have some loose ends to tie up I will have to wait a bit longer. I hate the summer too, especially where I live. It's a very depressing environment that just adds to my misery.

For me because spring/summer means aliveness, joy, fun and celebration. People are enjoying themselves while I cut off from everything and drowning in my own darkness. And normally that makes me bitter.
