Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Self Righteous Suicide

Once the public witnessed a car go off the highway and roll. People stopped and ran to help, but the car burst into flames and there was no way to get them out. The bystanders listened to the screams and asked if anyone had a gun to put them out of their misery.

Society has an unreasoning bias against the CHOICE to end one's own suffering.

Before reflexively contradicting what should be a choice, people should ask if the person is trapped in inescapable suffering.

If there is any hope, provide it. Often hope is a fantasy, this is where suicidology mostly fails miserably.

In these cases, understand and appreciate that the person has found relief; In a single word, suicidosophy roots from "acceptance". After all, acceptance is great friend of mental health.

I do wish that we lived in a world where our right to die is respected and suicide is not so stigmatised. It does frustrate me how the society sees suicide as something that must always be prevented in every single case. After all it is the individuals life so only they know when it is the right time to leave. Others cannot know what the person is really going through as they are not living their life. To me it would be cruel to stop a suicide attempt against someones wishes, all that it would be doing is just prolonging their suffering.
