I have asked some guys what would they think if I commit suicide and as usual they all said " oh we would miss you so much, I wouldn't belive that you were dead"- But its not possible to believe that, they are probably lying... But then I asked about a suicide letter, mostly this guys said its a good ideia, but this girl was like " I think a letter is a bit dumb, don't you think?" And that got into me. She asked if i was planning on dying and I had to lie saying it was only a silly question...
What are your opinions about this? I know its personal and all, but I just don't know if I should write one anymore.
Off topic: When you are planning your suicide, do u guys clean your room?( like, take all your stuff away and clean your phone?) Its a bit weird to be so motivated with this ideia

Thats really a good question, After writing a suicide letter you should be sure to hide it very well to avoid anyone finding it and being aware of your intentions. Also a suicide letter should be personalized, to make people understand why you made the decision and possibly respect your choice. A letter is definitely a good idea for that reason.

I usually clean my room and one of my preparations for CTB is cleaning and going through all my stuff. Also getting everything in order is helpful. From reading the thread it was suggested to be careful not giving all of your stuff or valuable stuff away because it can be a giveaway that you are suicidal. Also making sure to leave your things behind, not completely emptying out your whole room. If you chose to CTB, you don't owe anyone your life. How people feel when you are dead is something you shouldn't think about. Don't live for anyone because eventually if those people do "care or miss you" they will get over it. It's common for people to guilt trip the suicidal into living by telling them all the people they will be leaving behind.

I think it's up to the individual whether to leave any kind of explanation or not, nobody is owed one as suicide never needs to be justified, suicide is a human right but leaving a letter could mean that those left behind are less likely to be left with as many unanswered questions.

I'll just be leaving a note with instructions of what I want done. I don't have anyone personal to write any messages to. I'll have things in order as best as I can. I've already gotten rid of a couple laptops/hard drives. I'll wipe everything when the time comes.
