storage of N

I am storing my N in the small cardboard box, and leaving the cardboard box in the deepest corner of my closet, away from the light. My apartment is always about 77 degrees.

Am I storing it right? Originally, I am CTBing around end of month. Now I am pushing it back maybe couple months. Is my N gonna be all right?

Thank you Gingerplum. I was under the impression that storing N in a dark place was fine as long as it wasn't opened.

How about SN? Mine came today, but it was pretty warm from sitting in the mailbox? Does temporary heat degrade it?

I don't think that kind of heat will degrade SN, but I can't say for sure.

Nah, it won't. If I'd absorbs moisture it probably will go into a lump as any salt would do. The grind it up again and it will be OK.

I want to get N but I read on a website it can react with the stopper and vials of medicines used in hospital has caused latex allergies. I don't have latex allergies but am worried that it might react with the chemicals inside. I don't know when I will be using it. Will the stopper degrade the N or cause a chemical reaction to take place.

please advise

No it wont.
But with liquid N you have to keep in mind the date of use. Most batches are one year after buying it. It can be some months more but when you see stuff floating in it than its not good anymore

This is what I don't understand. In the same website and PPEH it says good for years after expiration date even for liquids. I don't know what to believe.

The liquid, if unadulterated and in its original sealed container should be viable for many years, as per the PN. There will be loss in potency, but for the majority of the population even with a decrease in the percent of pento it still contains enough to bring about death.

If you're apprehensive about your N being pure enough after storage it's recommend getting it tested or testing it yourself. I believe newer versions of the PPH contain instructions for three or four tests one can perform at home to help determine its viability. Good results on multiple tests should allay any fears. Exit sells N testing kits AFAIK.
