Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

So Stacey Dooley's follow-up documentary to the one she made pre-Covid really hit home for me. Depression? Check. Anxiety? Check. OCD? Check. Alcoholism? Check. Lockdown loneliness? Check. Suicidality? Obviously! The only things I couldn't relate to were EUPD and psychosis.

It was like looking into a mirror for much of it (the focus was on three main people and a couple of others with the above issues, as well as staff). One thing stood out to me near the end was a girl with EUPD who needed DBT but they couldn't offer it in her borough so she just had to put up with irrelevant therapy. 'I'm not mad at any one person,' she said, 'just the system.'

I watched it with my mum oddly enough and she knows I've been through it all but even though I think we're close, we still couldn't really talk much about it afterwards, out of I guess awkwardness. She's never asked if I've actually been suicidal in recent years and to be honest I wouldn't want to tell her.

I just really craved a drink, but I came here instead.

That was the original; the sequel just came out this April, and for me was a lot more relateable.

I didn't realise it was a new episode, going to watch it now.
I wonder if any of the people on the ward are members here.

Some of it was very relatable and I think it really showed what a sorry state NHS mental health treatment is in. It's just waiting list after waiting list which is the last thing you need when youre in a desperate state.

Thanks for recommending this! I watched it and found it really rather good. I usually find Dooley a little insufferable in her documentaries (I like her, just not as a serious documentary presenter) but this was one of her best.

I found the things that Suziee (the mixed race woman) said SOOO fucking relatable!! (see below)

"I know it sounds so harsh, but we're like: 'You are feeling like this because of COVID; imagine how we feel: we feel like that all the time – and then with COVID, ten times worse.' I'm not mad at any individual or any nurse; everyone's lovely. I just feel very cheated by the system."
