  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

So I waited a year for an initial level approval devision, I was approved 2 months ago... this is also a "dire need case" still NOTHING. I do not think there is any help in this world all everyone cares about is money. I dont care about the money I want to be able to go to the doctor! I have been refused help for over a year now due to no insurance or money to pay. This world is disgusting.

Socialism is great until other people's money runs out. State aid has never been sustainable long term because taxation is theft. The whole system is based on force and not voluntarism. Real charity is sustainable but the state prohibits it because that would be competition to the state handouts.

Have you tried calling to see what's going on?

The good news is, when the funds do come through, it should be the full amount from when you were approved to present.

This whole SSDI system is disgusting. I have a terminal illness & my initial claim was denied. I've had to retain an attorney to file an appeal, but I'll be dead before anything comes of that.

It can take 3 months from approval until any payments are made. The good news is they usually send the back payments from approval with that first check.
The trick is getting by until then.
The politicians created and run this mess. That can explain a lot.

I have called Social Security, gotten congress, senate, and house of represeantives involved. many many times.... all i hear is *we expect results in 30 days" for a dire need case an approval at the initial level took 12 months, i was approved 2 months ago. All I hear everytime i ask is either *just wait* or *30 days to process* it has been this way for 14 months. I honestly do not know what to do at this point. Noone will help me, i am starving, i cant get medications, i cant see doctors, i am dying... I just cant do this much longer... that is what they want though if I die they do not owe me any benefits. I am lost and have no assistance or help. I have tried ERs have turned me away, the VA has turned me away(unless i wait 6 months), psychstrist turned me away, and psychologist turned me away. No insurance no way to pay. Medicade I can get if I hang myself and im found in time like last time. I need to be left alone so i can just exit this awful place. I hate it, this county fails the veterans and disabled everyday.

Agreed it needs a reform it is a systen designed for you to die so they do not have to help a citizen. Saves them money if I die in the end thats all they care about.

I am so sorry. I really feel your pain. I was initially denied for SSDI also, and had my 1st suicide attempt shortly after. I had to hire a Lawyer, too. I was granted an SSDI hearing in front of the judge almost 2 years after the initial denial. Then, it took about 6 and a half months from the hearing to get my first payment. I am really sorry.

The one saving grace with SSDI is that, most likely, you will be awarded Medicare with it, too, which will give you a chance to see the doctors. In the meantime, I'd try to get on a Medicaid HMO plan in your state and try to see doctors that way. Even those who say they'd never use these government programs would most likely use them in a heartbeat if they were in a situation like yours. Good luck!
