does anyone know how long the coma period lasts in general before actual death occurs?

It seems to vary based on a few variables. Antipsychotic meds are noted as a major factor if I remember correctly. Apparently benzo and opioid use can be a factor too. Then there's general health to consider. A sick elderly person is likely to succumb faster than a young healthy person. I think these factors are why the recommended dose is high but it's still not difinitive. There's more factors than the ones I mentioned. Digestive issues etc. I still don't fully understand it but a fast period seems important. There is info o. That in the ppeh and the info in 'stans guide' seems to be similar in approach even though it's based on SN. You can search it on the forum ans it comes up.

Antipsychotics prolong the coma while alcohol and opiod would potentiate the effects of N so it will shorten the coma. I think it normally takes couple of hours for N to result in death on average but some say that it can take from 24-48 hours in some cases

It's a weird one because whilst opiates potentiate N they also slow gastric transit according the Philip Neitche and is an issue in sick patients on opioid meds. Also tollerence to opiates is relevant too. It can effect the period of coma phase. I've been searching everywhere foe the screenshot shared with me that I got this info from but can't find it anywhere. If I manage to find it I'll update.

What kind of dose are you on if you don't mind me asking?

i'm on klonopin 3 mgs a day and have been for a while. it shouldn't make much of a difference, unless you take a shit ton regularly..

It's more the tolerance that has the impact I think, so logical speaking as long as you're topped up the tollerence is mitigated. Makes sense logically but not sure it is clinically true. Maybe somebody can confirm.

Lucky you. It's hard to get prescribed anything here. You're getting the good one too. Do you still feel it or has it stopped having a noticeable effect? I've always found benzo tollerence builds really fast. Can start a week taking 1mg klonapin or xanax and end the week taking 3 or 4mg and getting less noticable effects. I dare not allow myself to use them regularly.
