Sometimes the mind tries to deceive by fantasizing a heroic death

It's ridiculous... it seems to be a mind mechanism to distract you from staying a little longer.

I am not a hero, every second of mine here in the long run causes more harm than any benefit to humanity...

I fantasize about death a lot and really want it to come. So obviously, I wish often that I could die in the way that it would look more purposeful and less sad. Many of the fantasies of mine are absolutely ludicrous but I think it's normal.

Eu fantasio muito sobre a morte e realmente quero que ela aconteça. Então, obviamente, eu desejo muitas vezes poder morrer de uma maneira que pareça mais proposital e menos triste. Muitas das minhas fantasias são absolutamente ridículas, mas acho que é normal.

Mas certamente alguém que é suicida já teve "sorte", porque ... Eu não acho que a maioria das pessoas que morrem salvando os outros (incomum) eram muito apegadas. Mas eles nunca revelariam que estavam chateados ou suicidas.

I often fantasize about my death, as for me it is a coping mechanism. It brings me a lot of comfort actually. Death is freedom from this life I never asked for. The thing I think about is passing away in my sleep. I understand why you would fantasise about a heroic death, as others are saved in the process, and it is seen as courageous.

If anything, I want it to be tragic and for people to feel sorry for me.

When I was younger, I fantasised about suicide. Then a bit older, I fantasised about accidental death. As I am now, I plan my suicide in the same style that I once used for love affairs.
