something about how relatable everything feels on this forum . how effortless it is to communicate with everybody , not having to pretend to be normal-brained... the way that i found this place all on my own . the way its kind of tucked away from the world .

i dunno, being active on these kinds of places makes me feel some kind of control again . some kind of odd form of belonging . the world stops feeling like some vacuous thing im just floating through on autopilot . i think i quite like it :p

I know the feeling. I hardly ever expose any of my personal life details with the people on this forum (for obvious reasons), and yet I feel like some people here know me better than anybody ever did. It's a strange realization

something interesting i found about what i like to call "off the chain" media. is that
1: people have to spend time finding these
2: because its hard to find these places people usually have more dicipline and also your average random troll people dont exist here (or are less)

and much more that i just dont remember right now. but all that to say that. these places feel more alive because people genuienly are more alive around here. they try they bother, and that's what's amazing about such places.
i personally also am active in another (more roleplay focused place but still an off the chain place somewhat.)
and people there are so amazing too. its crazy!

people are more alive here... as in like, there arent people just trolling, there arent people just autopiloting/hopping on trends like on twitter or something... everyone's like actually talking , and engaging , its awesome .
i do think a big part of it is the relative obscurity and the fact that , atleast with a site like this , it has kind of an unsanitized "un-family-friendly" vibe, approaching such a taboo topic so directly... of course that'll keep away anybody who doesn't match that kind of honest/unfiltered energy ...

its just so great to have pages like this . love love love pages like this . ^^

actually while this does add to specifically this place's vibe and life.
this isnt the whole story! cause there are defininitely more places like this that arent exactly with this topic (like mentioned other place in my other post) it's just about going in places where just like you said. people arent on auto pilot. moving around just to satisfy their boredom. instead are here for actual reasons. for a goal. and even if that may be chit chatting. at least there are less "noise" around. which makes the place so much better

super real!! it's given me the ability to be genuine to an extent I just hadn't even thought was possible; made me realize how much it is to hide this stuff from people irl. Hugely relieving to find myself no longer the only one (and not in one of those infuriatingly cheesy "you're not alone" slogans people throw at you before taking note to never talk to you again lol)
