• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

You take SN and the survival instinct kicks in. You realize you are dying and have 20 minutes to be anxious. How do you deal with that?

I'm scared of SI taking over and ruining it for me too, which is why I think it's a good idea to use SN somewhere outdoors, far away from people and any way to seek help. The mountains or woods would be ideal.

i know i'm going to die anyway no matter what i do, or what happens . imo the only difference between a natural death/life and SN is SN does save me from a lot of torture like cancer, homelessness, diseases, accidents , dementia ....

At least that's the way i see it to overcome si, knowing that the end result is always the same no matter what happens i will die . Death is the end result for every human no matter what happens.

Just come to terms with it and accept it, and it'll get easier.

Life is the scary thing for me. If I manage to ctb I will escape decades of suffering and I will be at peace. Of course it is difficult to overcome the SI as we are programmed to survive, but I believe that once someone reaches a state of hopelessness they can overcome this instinct. Putting up with pain and discomfort for a short amount of time is nothing compared to a lifetime of pain which I would experience if I stayed alive. I doubt SN would ever be my method though, but this applies to suicide in general.

Actually SN is not that scary. You will most likely pass out from it in a matter of minutes. After that, no more anxious feelings. That's why taking some benzo and painkiller beforehand is paramount.

Scares me too, I have much of the recommended dosages but no benzo, I'll try to get something sorted soon. Life is getting too hard for me recently.

I'm scared of my SN also. I have it. Not even opened the package yet.
Just choosing my timing carefully.
For me the biggest fear is that waiting period after drinking and just staying calm enough.
When I was trying partial hanging those few seconds before I passed out were fast and didn't allow for much SI to kick in. Mainly cause I thought I was just testing out and didn't realise how fast you pass out.
But SN is longish wait. Which is scary I agree.

Cheers, who used SN on Saturday, seemed to go unconscious after a little over five minutes, and it wasn't highly stressful based on her posts- but she prepared her other medications and did the fasting very close to the plan in Stan's guide. If it goes well it won't be 20 minutes.
