Enough people on this forum have died or survived SN poisoning for us to know some things with fair certainty. We can debate how peaceful or painful the experience is. But the biggest consideration for SN killing you or not is: DON'T DO IT IN A PLACE WHERE YOU WILL BE DISCOVERED. So if you do it in your car in a public place or right next to mom and dad's bedroom you're likely to be discovered and saved.

So save yourself the embarrassment and pain of having to go to the psych ward and drink your SN in a location where you at least have 2 hours before you could be found.

And of course-don't drink it if you aren't certain that you are ready to die. Sorry to sound preachy but let's all be smart and protect each other from painful experiences that don't get the desired results

In reality, most of the people taking their own life do it with the intent of getting "saved".
Their actions are more a cry for help than actual longing for death.

To be certain you need probably to give yourself a good 4 hours. Just to be sure.

And don't eat for at least 8 hours before, stop drinking fluids 2 hours before, don't drink alcohol, no, you can't drink it with fizzy drinks or orange juice, yes yo need 20g to 25g in no more than 50ml of water, make a 2nd glass in case you vomit out the first, etc, etc, etc.

Yes I agree 100 percent. You can tell maybe folks on this forum don't take suicide seriously. Or they are just doing it impulsively. It kind of pisses me off because it continues to drive the stigma against suicide. No way I would make some of the half-asses attempts that people do on here. Just for a ride to the hospital, a stay in the psych ward and possibly permanent harm

Put the Do Not Disturb sign outside the door and do it at least 24 hours before you officially check out to avoid being saved by the hotel manager when he comes to kick you out. If you live in a big city, do it somewhere out in the middle of nowhere like a small isolated town, because even if they did find you, it would take them forever to find a how-to on how to help you. Most small hospitals do not have an abundance of methylene blue in stock. It's a bad idea to mix other methods with SN. Keep it simple, follow the plan. The taste doesn't last very long, so one quick chug is all you need from 50mL of water. You can rinse your mouth with clean water afterwards. Do not mix with anything that has sugar in it.

Really don't want to die is I think the answer.

I took my SN and then..........

My mum found me, my parents woke up, I didn't take enough, my neighbour heard me, I didn't fast, I took it in too much water, etc, etc, etc.

Despite it being super simple, they still manage to mess it up.

These are the people who would fail with Nembutal because instead of simply pour it into their mouths they decided to pour it into their ears, or try smoking it, or. Well, you know.
