I've been wondering this too. I want to see if there's any butcher shops in the countryside that will sell some if I say that I want to start living off grid and curing my own meats.
But asking for the pure stuff would be suspicious (I would think that they'd first offer a curing mixture, not straight SN). I don't want them to report me to the police or something if I did ask.
