Is it the right "spec"?

I'd test this first with your blood. If it turns dark brown when the sn is added then it's the real deal. With the Chinese writing on the bottom. Could be salt or something else. Also if it's real then keep it somewhere dark and cool

That's a bit worrying as SN is used for curing meat. If it says not to be used with food then I have some doubts about it

Maybe Its item description on the website says it's lab grade for lab testing? I ordered it from Taiwan as I couldn't find it from where I live. Hope it works.

Ja German scientist haff found ze blood test to be most efficient.

the label looks fine - 'dont use for food' could be so that people don't use it as an NaCl substitute, also it could be lab grade not food grade - so for experiments etc. The only worry would be if what's inside is what's on the label - but it most likely is

ah I just noticed that - I've heard it needs to be >95% pure to be effective when taking the 25g with the water so might be worth maybe doing 50g? What you you all think?

Just Googled NaNO2 = 69
It says Molar mass=69 ? I have no clue what molar mass is though.
And the assay = purity ?

molar mass is just how much the particle weighs. 69 is what it should be for NaNO2 , and doesn't mean purity. Assay is purity, and it's at 99% here

Depends on what you consider quickly.
I think opening it for a quick sample is fine, but you should seal it well afterwards and keep it cool and dry.
Leaving the cap off or continually opening and closing it would degrade it faster, but a quick look will be o.k. for testing.

it's a salt, the particles from air will react with it over time but it shouldn't go bad from opening it - not anytime soon.

No ID is needed. Costs About 22 usd.

I've been googling for it for some time and haven't found it yet, I've come across one site from Taiwan so far, but the price is nowhere near 22USD more like 100USD+
