Coffee in the mornings, seeing the sun come up on days it is not cloudy, a good nap, afternoon tea while simply "being" and enjoying the sunlight filtering through the curtains in the afternoon.

Half of my functioning brain is taken by useless information about serial killers. I just discovered the "Timesuck" podcast on youtube, hosted by comedian Dan Cummins. Comedy and serial killers - such a weird combination, never thought I'll laugh so much while listening to the most horrific tales imaginable. Makes me question my mental health a bit lol

I absolutely love to take my coffee outside in the morning on sunny days. I know something is really not ok with me when I'm not abe to enjoy this simple thing. One thing that helped me out of my darkest days was paying attention, and falling in love with the small pleasures that I can have as long as I want to, no one can take them away from me. A lot of things in life are temporary, most of them. Not the sun, not coffee, not mornings.

Nothing makes me feel much better, but I like quiet forests and animals. I like sleeping the most as it passes time and it is like a break from this life.

I've got some new stationary for my studies and I'm pumped lol
I got some new pens, new notebooks, and new mechanical pencils coming in today. Mechanical pencils remind me of childhood and simpler times. I always loved learning so it's a good feeling.

If you like Timesuck, I highly recommend Small Town Murder. It's two comedians looking at murder stories in small towns and they are hysterical. I've been on it from the start and although it seems like a strange combo, it totally works. Some of it is kind of dumb - I'm not a big fan of dick jokes, but I think that's a girl thing - but the research is incredible and they dig up some really great stuff. They to focus on cases that haven't been covered everywhere else, so it's often something I haven't heard about before.

I have some odd ones. Fandom things, especially my personal writings, my favorite bands/musicians, hot coffee, hot showers, heated blankets. (unfortunately it's very hot year round where I live, but still nice things!) Skincare and coordinating my outfits. Talking to my closest friend. We speak regrettably little these days, but remembering the kind things he's said in the past and how much he loves & cares for me makes me smile during the rough days.
Edited to add: Wasting too much time on SS, of course. How could I forget?
