Please do not spread unnecessary paranoia. At least link the places where you have "heard" these things.
I got 0 idea which mod told you this.
I'm not sure if the source is one person being paranoid thinking they had their password leaked because of sasu.
This was debunked.
The user in question had
a password leaked, and iOS has a feature where it will notify if a password is found in a leak.
The password was an old one which the user had repeated on other sites, meaning the leak would have originated elsewhere.
To be clear: There hasn't been any password leaks on SaSu.
You can use a site like
https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to check if your email was in any leaks, and it will also tell where the leak is from.
They also have the feature to specifically check a password against lists of leaks:
https://haveibeenpwned.com/Passwords
As general security:
- Do not reuse passwords as if it leaks one place, bad actors will attempt to use it on other sites too Incase you reused it, which is common.
- Use a password manager to create and memorize unique passwords for each site.
- Use 2fa when available.
- Sign up on haveibeenpwned to recieve notifications if your email has been detected in a leak.
