Should I buy SN, I fear it will become illegal

Pretty much the title, I plan to ctb with SN in the future but I'm afraid that in that time it might become illegal. Should I buy it now just to be sure? But then if I ctb in 3+ years the SN will expire and I'll have to buy more=wasted money, and I don't have money to waste

I feel the same, im going in 3+ too, but i dont think it will become illegal, theres no reason for it, its used in food and its not like drugs that make ppl addicted to it

Depends on how serious you are that you wish to ctb, and whether you see having supplies aside as a security net in case the future you aim for doesn't work out. I've invested a considerable sum in getting several samples of SN. The peace of mind is worth it. I can always test purity if it comes time to use it.

N is still quite cheap if purchased for vet purposes. The markup comes when acquiring it through the secondary market. SN prices will rise sharply in parts of the world if being acquired for ctb purposes. While not bannable outright, the nanny state in parts of the world will clamp down, and secondary market prices will greatly increase.

It can still be banned from being sold to private individuals which I think very likely. Make no mistake: governments know what people use this stuff for. In my country a euthanasia organisation pretty much screwed everyone a couple years back by making the name of SN public knowledge. I'm not sure if it is already illegal but my parcel's been sitting at my country's customs office for over a week now and that never happened before, covid or not.

In my country SN is not illegal but it can't be bought by every Tom and Dick. They need to see a license which shows you're buying it for a school laboratory or legitimate business before they sell it to you. So it's a possibility that rules can change and it can become difficult to obtain

Here in South America SN can be bought by anyone (without any license) as cheap as 2 USD per Kg. I think that's bc people here usually don't use it for ctb purposes

12g...about $50 if you are a vet, $700 if you are buying from someone who bought it from a vet, and about $20k if you have a prescription for it.

Honestly unless some celebrity ctbs on sn, I doubt much will be done. I think there are relatively few who use this method as a percentage of successful attempts.
Someone shamed me for taking sn, surviving my attempt, and 'cutting the supply for other people.' Well I want to let them know that I ordered it again from the same exact buyer and received in good condition. No police or 'being flagged.'

Sorry to answer the OP, I think it should still be usable after a while, that's its purpose, to preserve meats.
