Should I be honest in my suicide note?

In the future when I CTB I plan on leaving a suicide note, I want to talk about how much I hate my family, and all the unnecessary problems and stresses that they put on my life. Although, I do not want them to follow me. I really really want to be honest in my note, I just know for a fact that I will also harm people in the process.
I've written my suicide note several times. Yes - be honest, but not brutally honest. Just give people closure. You don't owe anyone anything. My mother is a toxic narcissist and I all I said was "No apologies - right Mom!" She'll get it. Don't forget to thank the people that stuck by you. But yes, give everyone the closure they will so desperately be seeking.
This is tricky. But, you can express how you feel without being hostile. I would suggest getting into a calm and clear state of mind before you begin. This way, you can clearly and calmly articulate yourself without coming across as merely vindictive and spiteful. This is important, because, as you said, you don't want anyone following and words out of a heightened emotional state often hurt way more than anything else.
No better time to be honest than before you ctb, whether or not it hurts people or not. You probably won't get another chance to let them know how you feel.
There's no easy answer. Whatever you say, you should remember this is literally the last thing you will ever say to them. Your words will carry a lot of weight. They will likely keep and remember what you write for the rest of their lives. You can hurt them or comfort them. It's all up to you.
I would say up to you. If I wrote mine right now it was be nasty due to past memories that are rotating in my head. In all honesty my note will say "this was all my choice, no one made me do it.

One possibility I'm considering: use Google Docs to write the note; any document you save in Google Docs can be published as an individual web page with its own URL.
With the document open, select File → Publish to the web, and you'll get the URL for the document. It will be public for anyone who has the URL to be able to read it, but only its owner (you) can make any changes/edits or delete it.
It will likely be a long URL, but you can shorten it with a free service like bit.ly.
Be honest, but I don't think you should ever be a dick or petty in it. I see it as a time to be a bigger person and leave all your grudges behind, say your goodbyes. Even if you think the person reading it hates you or you hate them, it's a pretty low blow to make them think they're the reason you did it (even if it's true), stop the cycle of sadness with your death. Don't spread it to someone else as your final gift.
I would say yes, because this is the one and final chance to leave your inputs and interactions towards the conscious and living world. Whether it is giving people closure, getting the last laugh, or just letting everything go, you do owe it to yourself to bring yourself peace at the very least. Ultimately, it would be up to you on how honest you wish to be (whether it is 50%, 80%, 100%, etc.). I do wish you peace and the ability to find and give closure where you find appropriate.
You could also write every brutal thing down in a note you don't intend to actually send. That might give you the closure you need. Then you could write another note saying the gentler goodbyes and things you'd like to say.
Like I said before, it's ultimately up to you. Just throwing out ideas.
