So I am first year uni student, and I just came to a point, after my psychiatrist (probably wrongly so) changed my medication, where I am anxious and depressed all the time. Sometimes I really cant bring myself to go to classes, so I just stay home. But today was so bad and I cried for hours, and I feel like I have no choice over my life anymore. I can either CTB, continue on going as much as I can until I burst and do something I shouldnt, or drop out, and there the only solution is to work something I dont want to because art was my major and I wanted to be professor later. Idk, I wanna hear your thoughts, I really feel trapped rn.

Have you talked this with your psychiatrist? Maybe they didn't realize they were wrongfully changing your medication (it could be an option). On everything else, try to attend the important classes maybe, and I hope it gets better for you and you pass and get your major.

Maybe next time you see your psychiatrist, talk to him about it.
Until then, maybe rest and take things easy. You said you're a first year uni student. Uni is a lot of change and new stress, which can also effect you.
One thing I like doing when I feel anxious is taking long walks. Without listening to music and without my phone. I prefer to go in places with few to no people, and a lot of nature. Nature has a calming effect on anxiety (there is scientific research behind this).

Suicide among first year college students is much higher than many would think. There is a lot of change going on and can be really overwhelming. If I were in your situation I'd contact your psychiatrist and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Let them know what is going on.

I feel so bad for you. Something isn't right with universities, I don't know what it is, but I hear of so many people who feel bad and suffer. I think being an art professor sounds beautiful, and the struggles you have now could be useful in artistic expression, and you would certainly be aware of struggling students and could help them. I hope?

Ofc!! That is what I hope to achieve. Idk if it will be manageable if my condition continues to deteriorate
