id advise you to take wild pain pills or drink or whatever entheogen numbs you best cuz that is the most painful method that exists. whatever you choose to do, i hope you find what you are looking for. cheers darlin
please don't, also there's much better ways to create awareness about how shitty the mental health system is than setting yourself on fire. You could do videos, a letter about how they failed you and publish it online, etc

The media will forget this after a few days when a new story comes around, while the people in power won't even notice it or care about it in the first place.
You will be declared insane and not taken seriously.
Doing it in public will greatly raise the risk of failure, in which case you are in for years of pain and permanent disfiguration.
This is not recommended.

I hope you reconsider this. This sounds like an excruciating way to die, and I hate to think of someone who has already suffered in life dying in so much pain.
If you survive - which is far more likely if you do this in a public space with the authorities searching for you - the aftermath will be awful. Permanent pain and damage, surgeries, skin grafts, risk of organ failure, amputation, sepsis, severely disfiguring scars...
You do not deserve to endure such agony, and sadly I doubt that doing so will truly change the mental health system or raise sufficient awareness. Inadequate healthcare and suicide is a recurring theme. Some speak out and most of these individuals fade into obscurity despite their best efforts unfortunately. The media isn't going to keep a subject in the limelight that is uncomfortable to hear, and it's even less likely that they will understand and showcase your plight.
Society is more interested in silencing suicidal people - out of sight, out of mind - than actually improving quality of life or pioneering genuine reform.
I would hate for you to suffer so unbearably, only for your story to be buried and forgotten soon after. You deserve to be heard and understood, but unfortunately I don't think setting yourself on fire is going to result in that when we live in a society that perpetually fails to listen.
If you are still here, please please reconsider. You deserve so much better than to endure such torture, whether that's in life or in death.

I feel and I can see the pain you experience. Life is really cruel and hard to handle. You're too strong thinking about that awful method even, but you don't deserve to feel the burn pain. Trust me dear one, it's such horrible pain, no one deserves to experience such pain. Please, give up this idea, I'm genuinely concerned about you, I don't know you personally, but trust me I care. You deserve peace, and this way won't bring you peace. It's important that we go through the gate of death peacefully. Please dear friend, throw these stuff you bought away, and let's talk. Forget about the ""mental health advice lines", fuck them. Whether they accept your thought or not, who cares about their fucking opinion. We all here hear you, we all here ready to listen to your pain, and help you to find a peaceful exit. You are NOT alone, and we won't ever leave you behind. So please, talk to us.
I genuinely care about you.
We can find a more peaceful method.
You are NOT alone.
We all are ready to listen and help.
Please don't ignore our request. Hug you tight

It does sound like an awful, painful way to go. I know that life can be very cruel to us and we can end up desperate. As others have said it isn't recommended but I wish you well
Many years ago, an uncle of mine witnessed a light aircraft crash on his farm. He ran out of his home and towards the flames, desperate to help, but an impenetrable wall of heat held him back. He was forced to stand and listen to a sickening cacophony of screams, as he watched the skin peel from the face of a young mother clutching her infant. It traumatised him.
I also have a political point I wish to make on my death, but please, traumatising innocent bystanders is not the way to get your point across. You will garner little media attention, and the only memories you will permanently scar will be those destined to be failed (as you were) by the mental health services, as a direct result of witnessing your horrific final minutes.
I may sound harsh, but I am speaking truthfully as someone who has witnessed traumatic suicides close at hand. Nevertheless, I wish you peace on your future path.

assuming their location (london, england) is accurate, i havent seen anything on the news yet (google). maybe they couldnt do it??? it is a pretty gruesome way to go. its also possible it hasnt been reported yet, its not exactly like you can trust places that say "up to date" but youd think something like this would be big enough to be posted within several hours at least.

I've been keeping an eye out too, not seen anything either yet. It's possible either the meds made them pass out or police got to them before anything happened. If that's the case I hope OP finally gets the help they deserve.

without knowing what med that is i cant say for sure, however by taking a really good guess as to what it could be and the amount, thats possible. and i think i read someone mentioned they were going to do it in public, which makes police intervention a possibility and highly likely too

I don't think OP did it as I know they're UK based like I am and I don't see a thing about anyone setting themselves on fire in the news. And believe me the media are like vultures; they'd be on a story like that like a cat on a mouse.
I think it's highly likely they were either stopped and are in some form of custody seeing as his set up looked very suspicious and the country is on edge when it comes to terrorism, not to mention the police were already looking for him. Or he changed his mind.
I guess we'll have to wait and see but it's plausible that OP is OK.

He started a thread the other day about wanting to do this in protest against the NHS in the UK. I told him not to put himself through hell because the media would just move on to another tragedy in 24 h. He deleted the thread
