I know this may sound silly at first but it's been pretty valuable for me!

This is a method from a therapist I wanna share with you all to try:

Fill a Bingo field with all sorts of things self care (examples below) and try to get a Bingo within the next 7 days. I usually check mine once a day and kinda contemplate if I feel like doing any of it when scratching off things I did.

It's good to fill it with a variety of things: Stuff you need to do anyway, fun stuff, small tasks

Examples:
- Drink enough water
- Enjoy a snack. Consciously really enjoy it
- Eat some fruit
- Brush your teeth
- Go outside (for a meal/walk/just to chill)
- Go to bed early
- Maybe a small task that's been stressing you out (for me it was filling out a form)
- Call a friend
- Get up before (some time you deem reasonable)
- Open a window to get fresh air in
- Do one thing you enjoy without doing anything else parallel (music, eating, sports, gaming)

Stuff like that. I was surprised how well it worked???? Especially if you add some low stakes things or things you were gonna do anyway! (Like if you have a meeting with a friend, add that as well. Even if you're going either way.)

I did a 5 by 5 grid but you could do any grid size you like :] You can also adjust the time frame, but I would recommend leaving a broader timeframe and now just trying to do it over one day.

I like this!! I think for me the hardest part is to actually find the things that I should put in my bingo considering how limited my support and resources are 🥲

Sometimes, getting out of bed to open a window is enough. Maybe you'll find something if you keep brain storming. Dealing with limited support is incredibly tough and I hope you find ways to make it through the week!

Thank you so much!! You're so kind :) I think perhaps I should really just start with the basic things to begin with so it's not as overwhelming and I was thinking then I could also have a small self-reward for getting a bingo to motivate me further :D

This is very sweet of you to share. The bingo card phrase has been so popular, but I didn't realize it could also be practical. Thank you, and congratulations on your success!

I personally use Finch app to keep track of some habits of mine and some goals as simple as a day without SH (my custom goal)

Finch is so cute. And that's also a wonderful goal. Keep going. I know it's a struggle...but it's worthwhile. 💙
