Venting Scared of being placed on psychiatric hold

My ex (we still live together) found out about my plans... He looked through my journal and then called psych services. I'm so afraid I'm going to get committed I feel like throwing up

Hello! I'm so sorry, and I hope you can avoid getting sectioned. For me personally, it's one of the worst things, and I only got more trauma and sense of alienation from those places. Too stable to belong there, hurting too much to belong outside. I don't know where you live, but at least I hope the psych ward you could go to isn't that terrible... Please stay strong, and hopefully hopefully this won't happen

Thank you for your kind message, wow I really relate to your sentiment of alienation. I was sectioned four years ago and had the exact same thoughts They're coming to do a check so hopefully I can just pretend my way out of it, say that the journal entry was just a fleeting moment... Thank you

Been there, done that. The second time I was placed in a psych ward, I told the therapist there I was just having a really bad day. I lied by saying my GF(was single) just dumped me, didn't know where I was going to stay, and I felt like I hit bottom.

I started pretending I was good and putting on my fake smile act, and was released 2 days later. A friend of mine had to come and pick me up, and tell them I would be staying there until I could get my feet back on the ground.

Fortunately they did not section me immediately- though now I am going to have to see someone tomorrow to talk.. what a headache, but I'm happy I'm able to stay home for tonight

Finished my talk, and fortunately I'm still out here! I do have two more appointments with them unfortunately, I don't think they're quite convinced... But at least I'm able to be at home!
