Hello
I'm reading threads about Sodium Azide.
Most of people here say that SN is safer method, due to stability of powder.

SA reacts with metal things, causing danger of explosion.

So I have a question to people here who bought Sodium Azide.
How did you handle that? Are you keeping SA in some kind of plastic box? Are you using gloves or special glasses?

I would love to talk with someone who had SA and know how to handle it properly.

So mine came in a plastic container, which then I triple sealed in a lightly ventilated series of Ziploc bags. Got some small Tupperware plastic cups with screw on lids, latex gloves, face shield, mask, and plastic spoons.

To handle SA completely safely you would want a laboratory environment. But as long as you don't use metal utensils, use distilled water, and are careful, you should be okay.

In water, its safe. With metals its safe to the point its not pressurized. Its safe as salt but not in pH acidic as hydrazoic acid. Its safe with glass and plastics.
I have a reagent bottle of SA with me and industrially, I have seen literally tons of it being handled and even seen reaction masses of 6000l with like 500kg hydrazoic acid in them being centrifuged. ITs risky with a chance of explosion but not like touch powder or anything. For all intents and purpose if you treat it like you would SN, it would be as safe as SN and would take less of it to kill you. If there's someone grinding his SN ina pepper grinder and then fusing it on a tablespoon with a metal spoon under pressure to measure out 1.4 TBSP for a dosage, that's a special idiotic case where SA will blow in front of your mouth otherwise, for normal human usage, its as safe as SN
