Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

"If you can't beat the fear, then do it scared"

Just came across this quote on IG - most people would look at this as an empowerment quote about life and living, but when I first read it I apply it to my thoughts about CTB. Every time I go to attempt or practice, I always give in to the fear and stop. I'm not stopping because there's a reason or something to live for. I'm just scared of the short moments of suffering before death - quick and painless isn't realistic for a lot of people, and the mortality of most methods (maybe excluding SN) is lower than hanging so it seems more reliable for me.

I need to suck it up and stop being so weak. I need to just do it scared if I can't beat the fear.

I find si is different to regular fear. It is like a lower state, another trick in your brain's book. Even the most terrified I have ever been in my life is different to it.

yeah, in Russia we have something like "Eyes are scared but hands are doing". It's kinda works with ordinary stuff. But till CBT so complex and is irrational it can't be applied so easy.

btw, for me, avdpish, it's more looks like "Eyes are scared, brain think how to avoid, and hands are trembling, I need may be 50 hours to get prepared"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed double-meanings to a lot of "empowering/aspiring" quotes on there.

Considering that jumping from Beachy Head is my Plan Z, this one always makes me laugh....

I feel too weak and I lack the courage for ctb. It is certainly the right thing for me. It is difficult as we are programmed to survive after all. I think if there was a guaranteed peaceful exit then I would be able to leave right now. I do believe eventually I will get desperate enough. I think as humans we naturally want to avoid pain and discomfort.
