I'm curious what it's like to be in an emergency medical response type of environment, more so referring to things like taking the patient in an ambulance to a hospital, when you get patients that have attempted suicide or have severe self-inflicted wounds. For people who've struggled with suicide attempts/thoughts/etc. in the past or currently that are in the EMT/Paramedic environment, what is it like to treat patients who did attempt suicide or get severe enough self-inflicted wounds to be close to death? What thoughts go through your head?
