Good evening,

I'm getting closer to my CTB moment. I'm not decided on a method, nor have I chosen a time, but I am preparing things. I've closed some bank accounts and got what money I have left in order, so I'm getting ready.

One thing that I am pensive about is what will happen to my email and phone number when I'm gone. I have nothing illegal to hide, but there are people whom I've spoken to or things that I've looked that that I simply do not want my family to know about. Furthermore, I've spoken to people on Whatsapp about CTB, and I do not want these individuals to have trouble after my death. Thus, my question is what happens to such things when a person CTBs?

In my letter to my family, I will make it clear that my laptop and phone are to be destroyed, but I worry that my mother would try to gain access to my phone messages to try to understand what happened. I know that this can be done in criminal cases, but I've done nothing illegal, and it will be obvious that my passing is not foul play.

Has anyone else thought about this?

Delete everything you don't want found. I know it's not perfect but unless your mom works in IT, she likely wouldn't know to look for them, let alone how.

Pretty much already done. It's just that I know that it's possible to get logs of chats from Whatsapp or phone companies, but I think that that would be impossible without a court order?
