It's sad. My own fault partly. But still quite sad. A childhood of suffering, all to end up an adult who's stuck in that exact same state of dependency. No freedom, no autonomy.

Childhood trauma and mental issues set me up for suicide.

Poverty will be the thing that solidifies that decision.

I'm in the same boat, I'm on government disability assistance and when they took away a third of it last year, I knew that once my bank account gets to zero, it's time to go. I don't want to be a financial burden on my mother who I live with, but I can't hold down a job due to my depression and mental health. It's miserable just worrying about money all the time, there are times I had to forgo eating or paying bills because I didn't have the money. If I lived alone I would've been homeless by now, my mom is just very benevolent with me missing payments. It's exhausting to live like this and I'm glad I won't for much longer.
