Please help me understand how this site works.

I'm finding it really difficult to understand how this site works for new members. If anyone could be kind enough to explain it simply and clearly, I would be extremely grateful. Thanks.

You need to be more specific in your question.

How what works? What are you having trouble with? No one's going to explain the entirety of the website and how everything--post formatting, logging in, changing privacy settings, the rules of each subforum, etc. etc. etc.--works to you.

You need a few more posts to be able to access the search function, and when you have access to that you could search for anything you need to know about. There is the rules and info page. If there is anything specific you need to know about, then just ask. I wish you the best.

I'd suggest reading through there since it covers a lot and probably a lot of any general questions you have. Otherwise I agree with @NearlyIrrelevantCake that you'll need to narrow down to specific questions. Best wishes and welcome to these forums.

Click on the suicide discussion sub forum thingy to engage with most of us. That's basically all I knew at first. You'll pick things up as you go, like the search bar and how to quote posts etc.

Unless you're in a hurry to ctb ("catch the bus" / suicide), then I guess try search for what you need asap. I think you need to make a few posts for the search bar to become active? Idk though.
