Due to my breath, the bag got moisture and upon breathing, the surface of the bag started sticking to my face. I kept on going as far as I found stretch it. Breathlessness made me take my head out of the bag.
I tried hyperventilation. I felt dizzy after hyperventilation. I entered the bag assuming that i can stay without breath longer. It did work but then, same, breathlessness due to CO2 happened and I had to take my face out of the bag. And this is when I was extremely desperate to die.
I read on SaSu that inert gases can help. I went to a party shop, i asked that i wanted to buy a helium cylinder, he denied to sell it. I purchased few big balloons from him, with the thought in my head that I'll use these balloons to blow helium into the bag. Interestingly, these helium balloons do not have pure helium. Soooo, it was just as useless.
I thought if I can use alcohol to beat SI. Based on my experiments and experiences with alcohol. Unless I'm out and unconscious completely, it'll not work.
So, the only ways this can work is, if this method is combined with an inert gas or CO.
Or, if you do something to lose consciousness and you fade out, and have the plastic bag on your head. Only then can it work out

Otherwise, it's a non method that'll never be successful. There's another case when it can work, if someone can hold breath for like 10+ minutes.. i haven't seen anyone who has been able to do that, so that's virtually impossible..

Yes, it needs to be a pretty big bag.
Besides, if someone can access inert gas, it's better to go for a more inert gas oriented setup instead of using a plastic bag.
It's a good fast method if you have Inert gas with you... The only problem is the setup .and the access to quantity of gas
Hmmm, I feel we may be getting our wires crossed a bit here (maybe, maybe not, idk). My plan A is nitrogen gas + (plastic) exit bag, but due to what I've read here, I think nitrous oxide + a sealed bag might be a better method, and I think it will be considered the better method in the future (better than inert gas), but unfortunately we aren't in that future yet, and I don't want my attempt to be a science experiment 🙃.

Seriously, our attempts shouldn't become a science experiment or a case study of a failed attempt or a ctb gone wrong attempt.
I know one guy who can help you clarify this. He's got amazing knowledge of chemistry.. I'm simply amazed by his knowledge.
"Intoxicated"
He's too good. You can try to connect with him on one of his posts or one on one in pm.
He can suggest if the plan looks good.
He talked about nitrous oxide too, that it's easy to get. He mentioned whipped cream. I couldn't connect to that because in India, whipped cream is produced without using any gas like nitrous oxide.
But anyways, his knowledge can shed some light on this method.

Ty, yes, I've seen their posts. An amazing mind, for sure. A couple of members CTB'd this way in the last few months, but the posts about it that interested me the most were from @helltoupe, who from what I can tell changed his username and then disappeared, I think bc he CTB'd to be with his dearly departed wife… he also wrote some interesting things about receiving signs from her 👻. I like to imagine they've been reunited 🥰.

Oh, i didn't know that.. all I see here is SN, everywhere across the site 😂
I'll look more into this method.. anything that can work out for me is fine as long as it can give me surety🙃
Wow, he received signs from his wife? That looks really interesting. I have just one experience where I sensed spirit of deceased relative few months after his death. I was studying for an exam, and i suddenly sensed a presence on my left hand side for a fraction of seconds.. It was very strong sensation. And my mind told me that it identified this presence.
I have never seen any ghosts or interacted with spirit. This was my first and last experience where i sensed a soul around me.

I hope he got reunited with his wife ✨❤️ i hope we can meet them soon as well 😉😁

Hello everyone. Just bumping the thread instead of making a new one. My questions remain the same.

Is there a difference in plastic bags (grocery, trash bags, different stores, etc)?

Which bags would yield better results?

How should I tie the plastic bags for maximum effectiveness?
A good trash bag would be thicker. Harder to tear. I've tried this in the past but would always tear the bag away. After a period of no oxygen SI kicks in.
I don't know about tying them. I'd cinch with a belt.
It's possible to do but it's beating SI is the trick. As always. Plastic bags tear.

Not really sure what you're looking to hear… this "method" is going to be absolutely brutal. Some who have had no other way & been desperate to CTB have made it work, but I can't imagine choosing this over any other method.
afaik as well this method is highly discouraged in all right to die literature, im pretty sure derek humphry attempted to make a "reliable and peaceful" version of this by telling a person to take either a lot of sleeping pills or painkillers before, and this was the "early exit bag" obviously an eb isnt feasible for this person but i dont think this method is either, im pretty sure the pills + bag method was unreliable and extremely painful so the worst of both worlds, without any form of medication it will be even more torturous
🫂🫂❤️ I can understand.. And you don't need inert gas. There are other ways that don't need as much money. You don't need to be sorry🫂 i can feel your situation. I was in the UK and I wanted to ctb desperately and I checked the price of one small helium cylinder with 80% pure helium, it costed 30£. So, if i had to buy like 2-3 to ensure that i have enough helium to ctb, it would mean i needed £100 just for the helium and then to setup for the method, it would take more money . So £150 was the estimate. I am an Indian and I was not earning that time. £150 is too much for an Indian. It means 15000 Indian rupees approximately.
So, i had to drop that idea as i didn't have that much money to spare that too when there was no guarantee.
I purchased a rope from Amazon that costed me 40£ . I attempted partial with that but for me it didn't work . There are several others who are able to use it. And a suggestion that I got from a fellow member that belt of bathing robe will be better for partial.
So, may be, look at the other methods on this site and see if there's any other method that can help you achieve peace in a peaceful way. Plastic bag is very painful. Despite being desperate, i couldn't achieve my goal with it.
So, plan well❤️🫂 wish you love and luck in whatever you choose ❤️
i should say as well just for the sake of harm reduction, if you ever get more money and are looking into intert gases again, 80% purity isnt going to work and im not sure whether it would do more harm than good (potential to cause brain damage) the gas needs to be 99% pure but it is very expensive because its not even just the gas price, you need an oven bag, you need drawcord to make it, tape, etc, quite a pricy method :(

thats interesting and not something ive thought of it does sound like it could potentially be better than the exit bag, but nitrous oxide seems so hard to come by so even if it was superior id probably have to stick to my nitrogen, still tho, by no means do we have the short end of the stick, ill happily take a method rated 7/10 for peacefulness and 8/10 for reliability, its just a nightmare to set up, and id be lying if i didnt say the potential for brain damage isnt a big fear of mine

That is correct. Grocery bags, or the regular household garbage bags are thin. And easily tearable like you said. Those stick to one's face once the inside of the bag gets humid. Not a fun way to go, mechanical blockage of your airways is even worse than simple co2 panic... No one should have to deal with that in my opinion.

After experimenting with the oven bags (PET or Polyamid) , I finally understood why they are sole choice for making "exit bags". They are rigid, much less likely to stick to your face, and they are just the right size, not too small, not too large, and transparent while at it!
