Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

For some time now I have been contemplating on the reason to live. I think it was around the age of 17 when I first started to think what motivated me to keep working, but the question would have messed up all my routines and habits at that time so I kind of pushed it under the rug and went on with my life. After getting into uni I have had more time to think about these kinds of questions, mostly because I have started to see the products of standardized education and it isn't a pretty sight. I believe that there is a certain eligibility for people to live on in this world and it is independent of education or physical/mental fitness(because humanity has advanced far enough to accommodate even the weakest of people in the population).

I believe this criteria is motivation for survival. It sounds pretty vague but I believe that in order for a person to live in this world they have to be motivated to live(reason for the motivation is irrelevant). I know extremely intelligent and capable people that waste away in run down pubs or drug dens because they are simply not motivated to live. While at the same time I have seen borderline incompetent people achieve success in life that most of us can never even imagine because they are motivated to live on(most of the motivated to obtain money and power). This motivation is gradually ripped out of us as we go through the education system because at the end of the day modern education systems are not designed to produce human beings with a wholistic education but to churn out efficient workers. The perfect worker is someone who will never question their status quo and will do their work whether or not it is fulfilling or not(similar to drones in an ant colony).

What's the point to all this work? Why do we study? Why do we work? Why do we keep living on in this world? because we are too afraid to die? Or because it is abnormal to not want to suffer? You study through school, then uni then go for some dogwater postgrad program then maybe a fellowship or research and then what? What's the point? What fulfillment do you get from all this? What change do you make in this crowded world? Or else you chase after money. You drop out from school or college and embrace the hustle culture and somehow fight your way to the top. You have all the money in the world and enough power to subjugate any entity that can oppose you. Now what? What was the point?

Maybe you want to find love or settle down with the ideal partner. You meet them, you love them, they love you, you fuck physically or metaphysically. Then what? What's the point? Nothing matters in this life. You do not win or achieve anything. Just transient titles and possessions that will never give any meaning to life. This is how my train of thought goes. Maybe it is because I can successfully apply my thoughts and not fall prey to all the muck that deter people from turning thought to action. I believe this is the eligibility to criteria to life. To be motivated to live in this world where life is simply meaningless. Those that crave meaning are the ones who will suffer.

This is interesting. Thank you for sharing. I could never see a point to living personally and there is nothing that could ever make me want to stay here. All that humans do is just distract themselves until they die and it is all for the sake of it. Suicide really should not be so stigmatised as to me it is perfectly understandable not wanting to struggle until old age just to die anyway.
