Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I had a friend who died at age 56 in 2017. Lived at home his entire life. Never had a job. Never had a date. Never spent a night alone away from home. Dad was an alcoholic who killed himself. I'm pretty sure he was high on the autistic spectrum.

There was only one guy who I knew was nearly as much of a loser as me. He lost his dad as a young kid, shitty job, mentally ill brother, no girlfriend/wife etc. But what he did have (and I didn't) was a huge social circle. Said social circle has now pulled him out of his loser status -- he met a girl (now wife) from his extended circle, she got him an amazing high paying job abroad and they now live happily ever after. Good for him. But he was the only guy I used to connect with at some level (though apparently not at the level where he'd hang out with me lol). And now he's taken himself out of my life too.
It is sad how much some people suffer in life. Many people are disadvantaged through no fault of their own and it is all so unfair. I take comfort from how meaningless our lives really are and that all our problems will die with us. We are all the same in death, we are all nothing then.
