Hi all ✨

Hope you are doing well!

Welcome to another interesting thread!

Posting it as a distraction to your challenges and leaving it here as a food for thought!

This is a real story.

It was the year 2013, I was having high fever so I took leave from the office. I didn't have a cook at that point to cook for me so I had to go to the market to eat. I was terribly ill but I went to the market somehow. There was a book shop and my eyes got locked on a book Many Lives Many Masters by Brian Weiss. I purchased it out of curiousity. And had my lunch.
I came back to my room. I started reading the book. I finished it within 3 hours it was so damn interesting. It talked about how psychiatrist Dr. Brian Weiss hypnotised this patient Catherine or Katherine, I'm bit confused with the name, anyways, when he hypnotised her and regressed in to her childhood, she went back into a past life and described it very vividly. In the west, the concept of reincarnation is not widely accepted. In the east, it's more prevalent. So, Brian Weiss was shocked. He explored it further and found that other patients also were able to go into the past lives. That book is interesting, I'd recommend anyone who's intrigued about this topic to read that book. It's super fun.

A few months later, I hired a cook to prepare food for me and my room mate.
So, one fine evening, he brought his brother in law to my room as well. While he cooked food, me, my room mate and this brother in law of the cook were watching tv.
Interestingly, it showed a kid who remembered his past life at the age of 4 and could speak another language very fluently even when he never came out of his village.

This brother in law of the cook started telling his own story, that he remembers his past life vividly and he was his own maternal grandfather in his past life and he was murdered by stabbing knife multiple times into his body. And he confirmed this with his mother when he was able to tell things that only his grandfather would have known.
Also, he showed us the marks on his body. He said wherever he was stabbed, he has scar on his body.

Interestingly, this guy does not know english, and has never read the book Many lives Many masters. The book many lives many masters also says this, if someone has a wound in a previous life, that can get carried into the DNA through the soul's memories and appear as wound/scar.

It's difficult to believe whether all of it is just mere coincidence or has truth in it.

I leave that to you to think over it.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

Take care!

Have a good timeπŸ«‚β€οΈ

Thanks for posting. There is a simple explanation for all this ..there is no past life. The book writer wanted the book to be sold. The tv channel wanted more viewers. And your cook was bored by cooking meals through out the day and no one giving him any attention πŸ˜‚.

Thankyou!! Atleast someone could laugh πŸ™‚. So what happened after 15th century? Did you end up near some planet where time compression made you jump straight into 17th century and you had to take revenge against gravity for the time compression and hence you ended up exposing gravity to the world while practicing alchemy in secrecy ....Mr. Newton πŸ˜‚??

You have to be specific...cowboy hat, panama hat , bucket hat , straw hat , conical hat πŸ€”. Details matter πŸ˜‚. And are you not Newton ?? What did you do with all the alchemy knowledge? Where is the gold ?🀣.

Straw hat🀠 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
The farmer forgot the alchemy.😭 Imagine if the farmer got that gold he would have been filthy richπŸ€‘ without that alchemy knowledge, the farmer was just passing time in the farm enjoying the blue sky and the weather. πŸ˜‚
Newton was a horrible fellowπŸ˜‚ due to him we had to study calculus and gravity πŸ™ƒ he could have kept that knowledge with him but he had to share and make the lives of future students a hellπŸ₯Ή

Straw hats are cool. Newton sir dedicated most part of his life to alchemy rather than gravity. But discovering gravity was a gift to humanity. Many believe that Sir Issac Newton was Galileo's reincarnation!

Yeah jokes apart, Newton can be called the father of Theoretical Physics. That's why some call it Newtonian physics.
True, it's the basis of everything.
Btw, i didn't know he was into alchemy. Tell me more about it.
Galileo's reincarnation - interesting thought. This topic is such a mystery.
On a serious note, I feel the memories that these people tell under hypnosis could be just imagination or may be they read something somewhere that they don't consciously remember and their mind pulls that info as a past life memory.

Yes Sir Issac Newton was secretly into alchemy. He dedicated 30 years of his life to alchemy. Newton was not reincarnation of Galileo. Since Galileo died and in the same year Newton was born , and both were into laws of motion some people have floated this concept of reincarnation across the internet .

Have you thought about one simple thing ? If gravity is an universal law (and it's created by God), it applies to everyone equally with no exception. It's value depends on mass and distance.Hence if reincarnation is an universal law it should also apply equally to all? It's properties should remain consistent? Why is it that some remember while others don't? Either all should remember or no one should, right ?

I'm now intrigued to find what all newton discovered in the field of alchemy.

In my religion, i.e. Hinduism, they believe in reincarnation. And one of my ancestor had done kundalini awakening, so he had achieved claircognizance and clairvoyance. He told that reincarnation is real. And he tuned into all his past lives and he also knew, who he will be taking his next birth as.

Spiritual world is not aligned with newtonian physics.. It's aligned with quantum mechanics.
US defense did an experiment in 1972 on remote viewing and they succeeded. Later, they used it to look at enemy bases.
I did this experiment with a friend of mine.. she has never visited me as she lives in a different country. I knew that she would be good at channeling so I tried this experiment on her. I asked her to mentally travel to my room and describe what she sees. She described everything as is, even when i never showed her any pic of my room. She even told that in front of my room's door, there's a dark store room.
The accuracy was unbelievable.
So, there are actually things beyond our thoughts.
Sushruta and Charak were ancient sages in India who wrote books on complex surgery before medical science was developed. Some Indian sages described the sky as it is getting found by science. They were quite accurate.
Similarly, there was this priest, he looked at my hands and said, I'll always be famous. And that curse stayed with me. No matter how low profile I tried to be, I always was under limelight and I hate that because it draws unwanted attention. I like peace over fame.
But the catch is, how did this priest whom I met just briefly, told me something that proved to be true..i had never seen him in my life and i have never seen him again in my life.

If someone has vivid past life memories, similar to normal memories of say childhood...its gotta mean something.

Don't have any myself though, and I think there are alternative explanations to 'past lives'. Particularly in a case of ones ancestors, maybe those are memories that are past down genetically. And maybe humans across all time somehow share memories at a deep subconscious level.

I've read this book a long time ago, "Many Lives, Many Masters". An interesting read indeed, but to me personally there's nothing I'd dread more that to reincarnate, And I'm absolutely adamant to refuse! I absolutely refuse to even be incarcerated in a nasty human body again. The human form has always felt alien and ugly to me, and my hunch is that if I've had any past lives here then most likely as a different species.

Generally I find it odd that people who undergo past life regression in at least 99% of cases were humans before, it seems that no one was a different species. πŸ€”

Wow ! Yes there are things beyond human understanding. Even Buddhism speaks about reincarnation. But it doesn't agree with existence of soul. So it's a bit difficult to understand reincarnation without soul . Only God knows what is true. But if someone believes in reincarnation why would they ctb...it's the strongest deterrent for suicide.

Very well expressed..
You reminded me of a story I read in my school's English literature book, quta pie or something.. in that, a creature gets separated from his family at its birth, and gets connected to humans. However he exhibits the exact traits that others of its species would do.
I noticed after that it happens with dogs and cats also as they are the most kept pets. They exhibit the same traits. So, the behaviour pattern could be coded in some way in their memory or dna or subconscious.
There's actually a concept of super consciousness, it says that it has all the information and when we meditate we can connect to that data source just like we connect our computer to the internet.

Yeah, it's a fun to read book😁 I enjoyed reading it as the concept was interesting.
Seriously, humans have created such a stinky system. It sucks to the core. Earth has everything in abundance, it can feed all the needs but not human's greed. Humans are the only creature that don't get satisfied even after having their hunger fed. They always want more than what they need. That's why global wealth distribution is so uneven. And I notice people spending on stuff that they don't need but only to impress others and show off.

You are right, this is a very interesting point, why are none of these ppl able to recall a memory when they were born as another species may be a bird, or an insect, or a predator, or a prey or an aquatic animal.
As such Hinduism says, that we reincarnate as different species and only the lucky ones get to be born as humans. I don't know true this is, as there's no way to verify this scientifically. One can only theoretically think of it and reason it based on available instance. Interestingly not all instances of past life recall are true. Some just do it for seeking attention or to create a sensation. Human mind is crazy πŸ˜‚

I think you are talking about Eastern world Vedic concepts. The higher consciousness is all there is and the physical realm is an illusion and if we succeed in breaking the illusion we will become one with the higher consciousness...it's what is called liberation. Something similar is advocated in Buddhism as well under the concept of Nirvana. I feel there must be some truth to all this ! But we are wrapped in our struggles and sorrows and probably no bandwidth left to process such levels of information. It's like they are trying to solve calculus but we want to get rid of maths altogether..

I guess this might always remain as a mystery. The one thing very intriguing about life is "who am I". The key lies in figuring out the subjective experience of "I ". 8 billion neurons have been utilised in creating this perception. Sometimes I think if AI one day wakes up with this subjective feeling of "I" ...what will happen? The more interesting and equally terrifying part is will humans succeed in creating this ... consciousness and sentience is amazing. How did it sprung up from organic matter...can this also happen using inorganic matter...only time will tell.

So true, ultimately, God only knows what is true. When I tried to do past life regression, i recalled those two memories that I shared earlier. I don't know whether they are true or not. As in real past life memory or just imagination. I attended a workshop on past life regression that's where i saw that memory in that trance state.
As I'm a spiritual Hindu, not much into ritualistic stuff, but I believe in the essence of Hinduism, I do believe in reincarnation but at the same time, I do believe in the possibility that it's all just made up. I keep things open ended even if I believe in something, because there's no scientific evidence that what someone gets to see in the trance state with the intention of looking at a past life memory is definitely a past life memory or imagination or the subconscious mind tuned into some global information.
If I talk about why I wanna CTB despite believing in reincarnation, my answer to this question is I'm done with this life nowπŸ˜‚ I have seen a lot of pain and I have got wounded enough, that I don't have the strength to get any more wounds. It's like universe is stabbing me again and again in my wounds making it deeper every time. I had never had alcohol in my life but my last jolt made me suffer from anxiety disorder and i started drinking alcohol. Later on, it further escalated into mdd due to the mind games and tug of war that was being played with me.
When I think of CTB, i don't think about next life, I just want to end this life that's full of strife.
Besides, who knows next life may be a good one, i may get born as a wealthy heir to some super rich familyπŸ˜‚ if next life is difficult, will CTB in that one too πŸ˜†
Hshahahaha this is so funny 🀣 Good ones

You are such a deep thinker, hats off to you. I appreciate your deep knowledge and wide experience. Thanks for sharing your thoughtsπŸ«‚β€οΈ
Talking about liberation, yes that's also there. Your point reminded me of this movie Celestine Prophecy. In that movie, they show that when they transcend into a higher dimension/frequency/realm, they no longer exist on this one. That movie is on YouTube in case you wanna check it out. It's a refreshing movie based in the city Peru.
Beautiful scenes are there.

Very true conscience and sentience are truly amazing and mysterious. Only time can answer, in case science can make enough progress that it may be able to answer with scientific evidence. Until that it'll just stay a part of philosophy.

@ctb_warrior What you said about the stinky system, truer words have never been spoken! Someone put it in a meme once:
"I bought this stuff I don't need
with money I don't have
to impress people I don't like"

It's this - and the extreme overpopulation getting worse and worse! When humans are constantly trying to increase their lifespans, prevent infant mortality, to wipe out diseases as much as possible... they can't at the same time keep breeding and breeding like there's no tomorrow! Invading the habitats of all other creatures in the process, etc.
It takes one mother and one father to have children, that's two people - so having two children should be the limit to keep a balance. I can't understand that there are no restrictions whatsoever on procreation, when there's laws and regulations for much everything else one can imagine!

As for scientific evidence, regarding past life memories as well as everything else, yes I'm agnostic too - but including agnostic towards scientific evidence. We need to take into account how our brains and senses work.
I had a suicide attempt when I was around age 14, swallowing about 60 sleeping pills of different kinds. Obviously it didn't work... but one effect was that I hallucinated. I stayed awake and it seemed almost as if I was dreaming at the same time. For the most part I saw various animals, like a white rat, and an owl that came flying towards me, and also some changed scenes like being downtown with my bicycle. But the impression of the hallucinations remained with me afterwards - they had seemed so real, indistinguishable from normal sense perception! And this experience convinced me that if my mind can be so easily fooled into seeing things that aren't there, then how can we ever be so sure of our genuine perceptions of the supposedly "real" world?

Further study of this would confirm my doubts. I learned that the way our brains work, we don't perceive things directly with our senses. The sensing organs (eyes, ears) merely send a signal to the brain, where the signal gets processed and interpreted. It's been said that our so-called "reality" can as well be seen as a "shared hallucination"!

And taking this into account, no scientific instruments can possibly get you out of this situation, because whatever precise measurement you take, eventually the results will have to be received by your human brain. And if human brains can't be trusted and could as well be hallucinating everything, there's no scientific method that could possibly get you around that. Your physical brain will always remain between you and a direct perception of the world around you.
Unless the brain itself doesn't really exist and is merely part of this collectively hallucinated "reality"...

Wow 😲 you've expressed some really amazing thoughts 😍 i enjoyed going through it.

Seriously, people just buy stuff to impress. I'm in India and I see people driving big costly cars even when there's just one person in the entire car. They could have done carpooling or something or buy a normal car that wasn't so costly. I was walking with a friend when I saw guy drive a porsche sportscar on the street. In India it's rare that someone would have that car. I had a thought, India is a third world country and a lot of people don't even get to eat once a day. I remember this scene when I saw a beggar at night in the winter season, i was 12 years old and he didn't have anything to eat. I was a kid, so i didn't have anything with me that i could help him with. That was heart wrenching. So, i always feel, instead of wasting my money even if I was that rich, I would do something that could help feed the poor ppl. May be like a skill development workshop and then paying them for working for a company so that they can earn and have food and a dignified life. I actually sent this idea to the Prime minister of India in 2015. But who cares about Poor people.

On the other hand, overpopulation is such a problem. I feel people should avoid child birth now. Because the conditions are getting worse. Job market is crashing, world temperature is rising. May be adopting an orphan could be a better idea if they really wanna have kids.
Parents should definitely not give birth to a child if either of the parents are having depression or any diseases that can transmit to the child. Also, if parents don't know how to raise a healthy child, then also, they should avoid child birth.
In India, poor people are so horny πŸ˜‚ despite being poor and incapable to take care of their kids, they give birth to 5-10 children. They think more the number of hands, more the income. And they think children are gift of GodπŸ˜‚lol

Your first CTB attempt is really crazy πŸ₯Ή so many sleeping pills.. though you lived to tell the tale. I have had such vivid dreams as well. And you are right, our eyes send signal and brain processes it. So, it could be that we are not able to see everything as is .
Also, our brain can process sounds in the range 20Hz to 20000Hz and process visuals in the VIBGYOR range. So, there could be so much more that we are not able to perceive. We could all be mass hallucinating.

Someone with schizophrenia is able to see and hear things that's not even there. My friend who suffers from schizophrenia saw me and another friend at his room even when we never visited him.
