the pain gets so bad I think death is relieving and freeing but is that irrational? Am I delusional to think that death will feel good releasing me from the pressure of existing? Is it irrrational? I haven't felt good in so long.. I haven't felt right in years… is it irrational? Will it release endorphins and reset my brain? How do I get there?

death is nothingness. Wont make you feel anything. No joy but no suffering either. So not its not irrational imo.

It's not irrational, after being in pain for so long you're not delusional to think death will bring you peace. I've always thought there's a minute between being alive and dead were you'll realize everything will be okay now. I'm probably wrong but all I have is blissful thinking.

Death isn't gonna release endorphins in the way you're talking about. It won't feel good at all to die, it will likely be pretty unpleasant. If you're looking for something to make you feel good, drugs are a much better option. Try some mdma. But dying will just feel bad, then nothing

There is nothing irrational or delusional about the way you feel. It is understandable wanting to be free from all pain, it is why I look forward to non existence as nothing can hurt me then. Death is an inevitable part of life, and I believe that when we die we return to the same nothingness where we were at before we were born. Our only real purpose as humans is to die. But in non existence you simply wont feel anything as there will be no more you, there will be nothing.

I don't think it's irrational. On the contrary, it is normal to look for ways to relieve pain. Death sounds like a peaceful state, albeit unknown.
But there are other ways as suggested above, drugs, therapy, time...

Not irrational. I suffer from nerve and musculoskeletal pain constantly. Then you add in several years of severe depression and anxiety, death seems like it would end my suffering..
