im extremely afraid of the pain before i CTB. i dont think i have much hope or care for life anymore, it feels like the only thing stopping me is the idea of going through so much physical pain. i can cut myself quite easily but im still scared because CTB will be more painful than anything ive ever endured. FYI i cant get a gun

i don't know if theres a way to truly overcome it i think at a certain point the pain of living just outbalances the fear of the pain of dying if that makes sense

sounds unfortunate... i dont think i have truly experienced anything too painful in my life so the thought of it scares me. i dont think ive reached that point yet in life.

there have been some horrible days where i have just wanted to sleep but never wake up again, but it seems like the pain and the risk of survival is too much effort compared to living another day. for now

through my research i have found that full suspension hanging isnt actually that painful or bad. i am equally horrified of going out in ways that are not quick or peaceful and i also live in a country with no guns so i thought there was absolutely no way for me to go out, until i started studying the oldest and most reliable method in the book: hanging. what ive found? you're out in like 5, maximum 10 seconds. why? because, if done right, it blocks the arteries, no choking is involved and if blood supply is cut off, the brain goes unconscious within seconds. what you feel? just the tightness of the rope around your neck. there's of course much more to say here, but i was so relieved to find this information. i can direct you to some users' posts about this, they research it and go in a lot of detail on this topic

that sounds great! id like to check that out. i just dont know if full suspension hanging is feasible for me haha but ill see. partial suspension seems to be difficult to get right and painful too...

When people discuss fsh like this are we talking little to no drop or full drop to break the neck?

i havent researched full drop because that scares me, honestly. im talking about just kicking the chair or whatever, no violent stuff, just allowing full pressure on your carotids. that drastic loss of blood supply basically gets you fully unconscious within 5-10 seconds and your brain starts to die within minutes. its pretty peaceful from my understanding, because you dont even feel the rope choking you, you're gonna pass out too fast. I've seen videos of people instantly regretting the decision and attempting to get back on the chair, but they go out so fast that there's no time for that
